So over the past few years we have had at least one sheep head tourney on Lake Mac and they are always allot of fun. They are simple as simple can get too!! Weigh 1 fish ... winner takes all, you dispose of your own fish. In the past this has been a great way to get kids into fishing as for the most part Sheephead are easy to catch and can grow 15 plus pounds. I do not have a specific date in mind, however the rules are simple. 2 man teams (Kids on the boat do not count towards the team) 6 rod max Bait, trolling, jigging, bottle caps... whatever. are accepted means of fishing. Fish from 7 am and weigh in at noon. I am just trying to decide if it would be worth the time of setting it up. This open to Pier, Kayak, canoe, boat ect ect ect. Honor system as always 20 dollar entry team 100% pay out

River was down a bit today... but... I managed to fall in over my head as I took a mistep. no hits no runs no errors... still had a great time.

I am headed out Sunday morning.... Would have went today, but someone broke into my truck last night.

What size spin glows are people using...?? A picture with a size referance would be great;)

I have a used full core set up that I got last year that I need to get rid of 50 bucks takes the deal, Rod, Penn reel, with core from last year. I may have a diver rod too 10 bucks, I will have to check. What else do you need? I am on year 2 and I already have stuff I don't use. Dave

I bought the Cuda, as I was going to try and run it in place of a diver, but I just never got off the diver bite with spinnies and flys. I was just trying to find a new use for it. I have run a normal SWR with a 3 color on the rigger. I was thinking a meat rig on the Torpedo rig sounded interesting. Rigger set at 60 down with the torpedo down to lets say 100.

Anyone ever try it? I bought one last year and I have yet to find a good use for it. The product itslef works well, I just have not found a situation to run it in my spread.

Rivers are up... which everyone should know by now... I fished some tribs this morning, the water was dirty, but not terrible... No its, no runs, no errors. Nice morning to be on the river though.

I am thinking about going just to say I did.

UV flashlight is the only thing I carry on the boat. Got mine in Jenison from the outdoorsman. Have not looked back since:)

Holland Channel is clear.

8 pound test on a busy pier will get you killed during salmon season.... 10# is a min. For skams I use 30# braid with a 10 pound leader.... If you have never fished the skam runs you will never understand;)
