  1. There was quite a few boats but everyone was spread out. Several boats ran north beyond us, and we saw boats trolling west that we never saw coming back in. I don’t know how deep they went. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  2. We also fished PS this morning. Started a little north in 95 FOW and trolled to 230. Lost a fish in 155. Start marking bait in 190 and hit a triple in 210. Ended 3-9, all salmon (4#, 7#, and 28#). Lost several other big fish. White fishscale Protroll w meat in a low diver out 200 went two times, MS 5 eyes on a 400 went twice and Kevin’s Mistress SD on a high diver at 300 went twice.   3. Fished 6:30-11:30 from PS this morning. Ended 5/10, all salmon. Started in 115-135 FOW and caught 2 small salmon and lost 3 in the first hour. Then trolled west and caught 3 more out deeper, 205-230 FOW. Best rigs were a MS 5 Eyes (2 bites) on a 400 CU and Salmon Candy Blue Stud flasher w an Oceana fly (6 bites)on a diver.   4. Son took a couple of friends out for an evening trip. They went 4-7, 1 LT, 2 kings and a coho. They trolled 110-250 and back to 160. All bites came in 160-185 FOW. Multiple bites on Moonshine 5 Eyes and Dancing anchovy on down riggers down 60 and 75. Five bites came between sunset and dark. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman

  10. Fished the beach off Saugatuck this morning. Went 1-3, with a nice coho. All bites were on thin fins (chrome blue back, red w/ black squiggles, and all red). All bites between the sandbars south of the piers. Beautiful morning to be on the water. Looking forward to a few more fish pushing up the lake.

  13. Ended being a short trip this morning. Rolled the dice and ran offshore. Started in 235, and trolled to 255. By that time my wife was turning green and we headed to the dock. Caught a 8# SH in 245 down 90 on a white dew Protroll w a hypnotist fly. Marked fish consistently from 75-110 down. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  14. Saugatuck and Holland haven’t had a “run” in several years. Guys will catch a couple fish around the piers in the fall but nothing like years past. There just aren’t enough fish planted to return in any numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  15. Slow morning, started in 125 FOW and trolled west to 195; no bites. On the in trolled we caught a 5#LT on a dragon slayer SD and missed a bite on a white slick SD on a diver out 375. Trolled back to 180. On the second in trolled we lost a big king on a white blue bubble SD out 250 on a diver. Trolled into 120-105 where other boats were fishing.   16. Good fishing off of Port Sheldon this morning. Fished 6:00-11:00 a little north of the stacks in 130-200 FOW. Finished 8/12 with 3 adult kings, 2 smaller kings, 2 coho and 1 LT. All but 1 fish came behind a white flasher. Most bites were on Oceana or No-See-Um flies. Two fish came on meat rigs behind a white crush 10” SD. Riggers at 85 and 110, and divers at 350 and 250 were good. Very few biting flies- so nice. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  17. Fished PS 6:00-9:00. Started a little north in 120 FOW, marked fish in the bottom 15 ft, but had no bites. Trolled west, first bite in 165. Worked 165-185 and had fish on consistently until 8:00. Caught 6 salmon and 1 LT. Lost 4 and missed 1. All fish were on flashers and flies, DRs at 105 and 125, divers at 350 and 250.   19. Fished PS 7:00-11:30, 9/16. Bites came in 120-160FOW trolling east and west a couple of miles south of the port. Bites on 250-300 CU with spoons, MS green knight and MS apple seeds, divers with green/chrome flashers or white slick flashers and hypnotist or green crinkle flies; riggers at 80-95 down with white fish scale and a wild fern and a super frog with a hypnotist.   21. Fished 6:30-9:30 out of PS last night; 3 for 6. Set up in 130 a couple of miles south and trolled to 200, no bites. Missed 2 bites (175-170) on the in troll and caught a nice coho in 155. Looped back out to 175. No bites going out. Missed a tug on a diver in 170, then caught a double (SH and king) in 155. Marked quite a few fish and big schools of bait showed up as the sun got close to the horizon. Bites: MS dancing anchovy CU200 PT chrome green flasher / hypnotist SC blue stud / green crinkle Blue veggie stinger SC chrome UV and blue ladder /oceana MS mag green jeans Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  22. Fished 6:30-11:30 out of Port Sheldon. 7-10, 4 LT and 3 SH in 125-155 FOW. 200 CU with standard size MS dancing anchovy caught 2 SH. 2 bites on a blue veggie stinger on the add a line at 50.; caught a SH and lost a coho that ran up the main line. 2 LT came on 200-250 CU and 2 bit flashers below 100.   23. First time out in a couple of weeks, dock to dock 3:30-6:30. Started in 90 FOW and trolled to 120. Marked schools of bait both suspended and on bottom. Worked south in 95-115 for an hour with no bites. Marked quite a bit of bait and a few fish. Turned west. Very few marks beyond 120 FOW. Caught a nice coho (6#) in 165 FOW on a mixed veggie UV Stingray. Pulled lines in 170 FOW. The flies were much more active than the fish. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  24. Fished 8-11, started in 220 FOW and trolled to 275. Ended 2-8. Boated 1 SH and 1 Chinhook, lost 5 SH. All SH bites were on flat lines or 2 colors. Beautiful morning on the lake. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  25. Fished PS 7:30-10:00. Made a hard left at the piers and trolled the beach towards Holland. Missed a bite on a black tuxedo Stinger, then caught a double; 9# brown on a gator Warrior flutter spoon and a 6# salmon on a 5 eyes Moonshine.
