  1. Thanks Ed I have heard nothing but good things about the monster if we dont do it this year maybe next season!
  2. We had a great weekend of fishing in Holland but it wasn't enough to get into the money in the amateur division or 333 none the less we had a great time and that is what it is all about. Friday pre fishing went great with 2 fish over 20lbs but nothing over 14lbs made it to the boat on sat or sun we caught 5 nice fish on fri and 8 on both days of the tournament. This tournament was our favorite one of the season and very well put together. Our last tournament is probably going to be the Hoosier Coho Club Salmon Slam in Portage Indiana or possibly head to the Manistee Monster Mania we are still undecided. Here are a few pictures enjoy!!
  3. The girlfriend and I went out Friday after work set lines around 4:30 pm 80fow out of Hammond worked out to 90 and worked that area went 1 for 2 with a nice king pulling lines. We decided to try it again Sunday even though we heard it was slow Saturday we ended up 5-8 with 2 steel 1 coho 1 king and 1 laker. We caught 3 fish in 15 min then slowed wayyyyy down but we did better than I had expected at least things are improving day by day it seems. On Monday we set lines outside of burns ditch in 25 fow trolled around in 25-45 fow best action east of ditch 30 fow went 1-5 normal steelhead baits and set ups. Hopefully this north blow doesn't hurt things too bad.
  4. Nice king good to see other woman fishing I take my girlfriend as much as possible.

  7. Sure is king and thanks supertramp did you make it out at all ? Little boat my boat is a 17ft smokercraft.
  8. So we had a great holiday weekend in ST. JOE MI and fishing was decent compared to what we have been experiencing. The girlfriend and I started fishing straight out of the pier heads of St. Joe in 70 FOW on Friday am and headed out to 130 found better action in the 75-100 FOW. We went 5-5 with 2 decent steelys and released 3 lakers it was a nice day to be on the water besides the bugs. On Saturday am I took my dad out for the first time in a while the wind was kicking pretty good with 2-4 ftrs we fished the same area managed to catch a few nice fish finally got a couple kings and another nice steely and released 2 lakers and lost another king. So Sunday am the girlfriend, cousin and I headed out the wind was supposed to pick up pretty good late in the morning well they blew that forecast we pulled out of the pier heads into 2-4ftrs again and the wind was honking out of the SW but we decided to tough it out. We started in 60 FOW and fished to 100 best action was 75-90 FOW fishing was the toughest it had been all weekend for silvers we ended up getting 3 lakers and another nice steely and also missed a nice steely. Copper rod 150ft with a blue green yellow spoon was our best rod for steelys meat rig on wire dipsey 150 ft out took a king on sat and a NBK MAG took our other king on rigger down 57.Here are a few pics enjoy!!
  9. Well after not hearing any good reports for offshore we decided to go perching out of Hammond IN on Friday after work only ended up with 2 keepers but it was a nice afternoon to be on the lake. Saturday morning we decided to head to ST Joe MI to give a try set lines in 75 FOW trolled N to 130 never got touched made a turn headed back to 90 FOW still nothing so we pulled lines and headed to 180 FOW trolled to 215 FOW picked up 1 small laker on rigger made a turn trolled back to 165 pulled lines. We heard some chatter on radio guys getting fish in 90 FOW so reset lines in that area managed 1 decent laker on rigger that was it all day VERY VERY SLOW but at least the weather was nice. So after a terrible day of fishing in ST Joe we got up at 3:15am checked the radar and seen the line of storms heading towards the lake so decided to call off our trip for East Chicago IN on sunday. After getting some more sleep and contemplating whether to head out and enjoy the day or stay home and do yard work the lake won us over so me and the girlfriend decided to give it a try. We set lines at 1pm in 65 FOW and trolled out to 49 22 then headed to 49 17 and trolled around in that area for a while. We lost a steelhead on a MV SS on free slider on a rigger down 70.Then had a wire dipsey out 130 go off and lost a laker at the surface. The last rod to go off was a laker on NBK MAG down 70 rigger that I would have put money on it being a king ended up being a decent laker that was foul hooked the girlfriend had a good fight with it at least. The only pics from these trips where a few of the boat enjoy! Hopefully things get better in ST Joe MI I am heading there Friday morning and will be there for the holiday weekend if anyone does any good this week let me know please and thanks and if you are out this weekend give me a shout on the radio boat name is KICK'R.
