  2. We fished out of Grand Haven this past holiday weekend. We arrived Friday and where able to fish for a few hours but only landed 1 coho. Saturday morning we took a coho on the set up, but then things died for a while. We ended up hooking a decent king outside the mouth late in the morning. We then decided to troll inside the channel and ended up boating another king and losing a king due to a botched net job. We ended the morning 3-4 which based upon the radio talk was a pretty good morning. We got a invite to fish on a buddies boat on Saturday evening so we did and ended up with 2 kings before a storm ran us off the lake. We ran 6 rods most of the time as it was just the two of us, but sometimes only ran 4-5 with all the boat traffic. We fished from the channel out to 50fow with our best depth being 20-30fow in an out of the channel. We took most fish on plugs on divers and riggers 15-20ft down. We also managed to catch 2 nice largemouth bass while trolling that was a surprise! We had a great holiday weekend in Grand Haven can't wait to go back! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks they are definitely chunky this year Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  4. We fished 120-160fow trying for kings all morning without a bite. We decided to motor out to 280fow and fish to 300fow. Things started slow for us, but once we got the depth dialed in the fish started hitting the deck! Our best water depth was 290-300fow on a south troll with baits down 95-110ft. We landed 2 coho and a trout and missed the same amount all within about an hour before we had to pull lines. Our Michigan Stinger spoons did most of the damage on our riggers. It was a perfect day to be on the water even with a slow morning of fishing! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  5. We struggled to put fish in the boat for the Holland Big Red Classic Tournament on Sunday. We weren't able to pre fish on Friday due to the waves and day 1 of the tournament got cancelled on Saturday due to waves. Sunday was a one day shootout and was basically a shot in the dark after the big blow. We fished from 85-150fow and managed to land 2 kings and a small trout. This weekend definitely did not go the way we would have hoped, but that's all part of this sport. This was the last tournament of the year and overall we had a great tournament season and can't wait to finish out the season fun fishing! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  6. We made a last minute decision on Sunday morning to head to Northpoint. We decided after reading the weather buoys that were still showing almost 4ft waves that we were better off launching out of Winthrop Harbor and making a shorter run. Our best water depth was 270-300 with 290 being the hottest. We used our fish hawk to find 50 degree water down 70ft and ran most of our spread in the 50-75ft range. We had most of our action on Michigan Stinger spoons on our Big Jon downriggers and Morgan's coppers pulled behind Church Tackle TX-44 boards. We ended up with our 3 man limit of nice chunky coho and steelhead we lost at least 10 or more than we boated, but that's why it's fishing and not catching! We are getting ready to fish our final big tournament of the season this weekend the Holland Big Red Classic and we can't wait! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  7. Quick report we fished 70-90fow in Illinois waters on Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. We went 0-1 on Friday with about an hour of lines in the water. Sunday we went to the same area and did well we landed 5 silver fish and 5 lake trout while losing about the same. Our best baits for the lakers where Michigan Stinger spoons on 200ft and 300ft of morgans copper pulled behind church tackle TX-44 boards. Our hot colors where UV mixed veggie and UV green gator. Our silver fish came on an assortment of stinger spoons down 20-75 ft. We had a great time taking some Lake Michigan first timers out and we got them some nice fish with the biggest trout weighing almost 18lbs! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

  11. We fished the Ludington Offshore Classic Tournament in Ludington, MI for the first time ever! We prefished Friday and had a hard time finding the big ones. After we struggled prefishing on Friday we were unsure what the tournament day was going to bring. We struggled to keep the fish hooked up in the morning causing us to go 0-3 early then the bite died. We started to lose hope when all of a sudden the wire slide diver goes off with a decent sized king! While fighting that fish the 300 copper goes off with a big king and breaks the line, but we ended up landing a 12lb king from the diver and for the next 45 minutes fishing was incredible. We had a another double and ended up taking a 20.75lb king and a 15lb king along with 5 other fish all in less than an hour then the bite died and we never had another bite the rest of the day. It definitely proved once again that things can change so fast on the big lakes good or bad. We weighed in our catch and it was good enough to put us in 12th place out of 49 boats. We had planned on improving on day 2 but unfortunately it was cancelled due to high winds and waves. We fished mainly 100-150fow on the bank near big point. Most of our bites came from 35-75ft down with Michigan Stinger spoons taking our 2 biggest kings in the patterns UV mixed veggie and UV blue dolphin. We had a great time in Ludington and will definitely be back! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

  16. We fished on Saturday in the miserable wave conditions that were supposed to subside unfortunately that never happened. We fished in 50-70fow and ended up 0-3 it was a chore just trying to stand let alone fish. On Sunday we fished the same area north of the wreck in 50-75fow. We ran a 6 rod spread and ended up with 4 coho and 2 trout. We also lost a king and missed a few other fish as well. The best part about Sunday was the lake was much calmer than Saturday! Most of our bites came in the top 50ft of water column on Morgan's 150ft and 200ft copper behind church tackle planer boards with Michigan Stinger spoons! We had a king come on a slide diver out 70ft on counter, but unfortunately we lost it at the back of the boat. We did have a productive blue ITO fly behind a smoke dodger on a rigger down 40ft. We are currently busy preparing for our Ludington tournament this weekend and we can't wait! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  17. We fished for a few hours tuesday morning in Bailey's Harbor, WI before heading back home. We made a decision on our way home that we would fish one of our home ports as fishing had been great over the weekend. We fished out of Hammond in 50-70fow and went 3 for 13 in a few hours of fishing we just could not keep them hooked up. We had a really nice king on for a while that ended up straightening the snap swivel and getting away. We had most hits in the top 50ft of the water column with spoons doing most of the damage. The hottest patterns were Michigan Stinger spoons in UV mixed veggie, jordo, and steelie stomper patterns. We had a great evening on the water and it was a great way to top of a long weekend spent on the water! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  18. One word comes to mind while typing this report and that word is TOUGH! We fished each day for a few hours over the long holiday weekend and only ended up with 3 total hits and landed 2 fish on the final day. Everyone we talked to had the same story most people got skunked and the lucky ones got 1 or 2 fish. We fished mostly 50-100fow with most baits near the bottom as that's where we marked fish we just could not get them to bite. The biggest fish of the trip came on a Michigan Stinger spoon in the glow watermelon pattern on a rigger down 70ft. We also some how managed to lose a fish hawk probe when the rigger cable decided to snap as I was changing lures not a good feeling watching it sink to the bottom of the lake! We still had a great long weekend on the water and the weather was near perfect! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  19. TEAM KICK'R Sheboygan, WI 6/24-25 We headed to Sheboygan, WI after a last minute decision based upon the wave forecast for us in Indiana. We fished Saturday in 80-160 fow with 130-150fow being the best for us. We ran mainly king baits most of the day and only ended up with one nice 17lb king and a few coho and steelhead. It was definitely a tough bite all weekend and most boats struggled. We fished on Saturday evening and Sunday morning for a few hours each time with nothing to show for it. I wish I had a better report for you guys but it was a slow weekend for us. We want to send a special thank you to anglers avenue in Sheboygan for their hospitality this weekend and their continued support of our team be sure to check them out online at anglersavenueproshop.com! We are heading to door county next weekend for the 4th of July weekend if you will be up that way let us know!
  20. TEAM KICK'R Winthrop Harbor, IL 6/3-4 We made the trip up to Northpoint Marina after hearing of great coho action. That was no lie the coho where on fire. We headed up Friday afternoon after work we set lines at 5:30pm and pulled at 8:30pm and ended up with 8 coho and 1 laker and a ton of lost fish. On Saturday morning we had a 3 man crew and ended up going 14 for about 18 with 13 coho and a nice 17lb lake trout on a Big Weenie blue balls meat rig on a wire slide diver back 170 on counter. We took fish on usual spring coho set ups. Musselhead Tackle naked blue flash meat rig on a 8 color was hot in the late morning and a Michigan Stinger jagerbomb on a 200 was good Friday. We fished anywhere from 60-140 fow and caught fish mainly in the top 50ft. We had some good fishing even though our trip got cut short due to me catching the flu bug.
  21. Nice work! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  22. We fished for a few hours each morning and a few evenings over the holiday weekend. We targeted kings specifically and took a few fish each trip with the biggest king being just over 12lbs. We fished anywhere from 70-200fow with our best water being between 90-120fow. Most of our fish came on riggers and wire divers down 50-90ft. Stinger spoons on the down riggers in Jordo,Mixed Veggie UV, and KC-1-2 patterns took most fish. Our wire divers with big weenie meat rigs took our bigger fish with the blue balls rig being the best. We had a great weekend on the water and some good fishing to make it even better! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  23. Nice work see you in August! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
