  1. We had slow pre fishing Friday afternoon in front of the pier heads in Michigan City, IN before the captains meeting we worked 25-50fow with a few smaller fish coming in 42fow on spoons on lead core. We decided to make a 28 mile run on Saturday to East Chicago, IN .We ended up stopping short and fishing Gary light in 42-50 fow and it payed off we ended up with 5 fish on spoons on riggers and lead core with one being a nice king before things slowed up and we decided to run to the gong to try for lakers. We ended up with only a small steelhead before we had to head back for the weigh in. At the end of the first day we where sitting in second place. We decided to run 15 miles east towards New Buffalo ,MI on Sunday and troll towards ST. Joseph ,MI. We started fishing in 50fow and worked our way out to 75fow before our fish hit around 10 am and broke off our wire line dipsey. After that we started taking fish we ended up with 4 in the box with a decent king a couple small lakers and a coho also lost a big laker at back of boat and released a nice laker that was tail hooked. Our best luck was between 75-95fow top 50ft riggers copper and lead all took fish. Our 4 fish was enough for us to keep our spot in 2nd place on day two! We also had the camera man on board to film for the 333 SALMON SHOWDOWN TV SHOW we didn't do so hot for that but did do the best out of the filmed teams we just couldn't keep the big ones hooked up. Not too many pictures this time as there was a lot going on with the camera guy on the boat. All in all a great weekend! Here are a few pictures we did get! https://instagram.com/p/2OXanNp0dp/ https://instagram.com/p/2OHpqKp0Zr/ https://instagram.com/p/2LjJoep0Q0/

  6. We were trolling in 70 fow and had the rigger down 40 ft and all of a sudden the arm just snapped clean off not sure what exactly caused it Big Jon is sending us new parts today and wants the broken pieces back to determine what may have happened
  7. We pre fished Friday after work for a few hours just my girlfriend and I we ended up lighting the lakers up. Fishing was so good I couldn't get more than 2 rods in the water for the first 30 minutes once I finally got them all set we made a turn and kept getting them we decided to switch it up and try for silver fish we ended up getting 5 coho but none where big enough to keep we caught our lakers in 35-45fow and coho in 40-50fow. After our great evening of pre fishing we decided to head to the same spot this morning for the tournament and the fish where still there we picked up the lakers we needed for our weight then decided to head to deeper water in search of kings. We found them and ended up with 2 and lost a nice one we also picked up our biggest laker the best depth for kings was 55-65 fow. We ended up weighing our best 5 fish for a total of 45.90lbs which put us in 9th place in the pro division. We ended up with 8 lake trout 2 kings 1 coho for the day. We also managed to break a big jon downrigger arm clean off while fishing today boy that caused some havoc luckily we had a spare manual rigger on board that we were able to use in its place. All in all had a good day of fishing despite the carnage and less than perfect weather here are some pictures enjoy!

  10. We pre fished on Friday out of Michigan City, IN it was a perfect 80* afternoon with a flat calm lake. The fish did not want to cooperate we ended up with only 2 keeper coho and 8 coho that weren't big enough and missed quite a few also. We fished for about 3 hours in front of MC in 25-40 fow. After our slow pre fishing on Friday we decided to make the run to New Buffalo MI on Saturday. We set up just south of NB in 25-30 fow and trolled north almost to the cook plant with a couple of fish and a few misses things were a lot slower than we had hoped we decided to turn around and troll to some deeper water 40-50 fow. Good news was we started getting into the fish the bad part was they were all lake trout which were not allowed in the tournament we lost count of the lakers we released at the back of the boat. We finally made it out of the laker land and got a few more coho to end the day we managed to bring 5 keeper coho to the weigh in most fish came on Michigan Stinger SS spoons in green and blue color combos on riggers, leadcore, and slide divers. After seeing the other teams weigh in it seemed to be pretty slow for them as well. We ended up in the top 15 or so out of 39 boats all in all a great day on the water we will be fishing the Hoosier Coho Club Pro/Am Tournament next weekend and will be trying for better results here are some pics enjoy from the last few days enjoy!
