  3. Thats awesome Jon good to hear ya got everything straitened out with your boat, last year was a very trying year for us,we spent 5 grand before the boat made it to the lake.
  4. Does anyone know who has the best price on a new antenae, just to keep my blood pressure in check lets just say it is broken, the one i'm trying to replace is a shakespear not sure if thats important but maybe. Thanks in advance,Randy
  5. I did buy it at gander mountain,I have looked several times since then if they had anymore because it catches fish,I don't know the name of it(was hopeing someone else would)but I only catch fish with it when we fish Port Sheldon,so we have come to call it our Port Sheldon spoon.(go figure huh?) Ok anybody else have one they can't identify?

  7. I have seen posts where people wanted others to identify there fish that they have caught, and its kinda fun so i thought why not try it with bait?People are always saying "I don't know what its called but it catches fish!" So What Is It?
  8. Way to go Frank, some guys have trouble getting back on there program(me) but not you, hurry up and heal up,somebody has to catch all them fishes
  9. Not sure what you were implying by your comment jason but I'm pretty sure I can get the Jasper cheaper than you could rebuild it in your garage
  10. Jon I work for a large phone company as a fleet mechanic, and as such I can get a really good discount on a new rebuilt jasper marine engine for your boat, being a nation wide fleet account they give us a price that is even better than jobber price.I would be happy to price one for you Monday. Also something to think about is the warrenty that comes with a jasper engine. Anyway let me know. Randy
  11. Last year while trolling out of muskegon i was watching my graph very intently looking for anything that swims and then i saw what i thought was moby dick diving for my deep rigger, and then it just hung there.....after a few minutes of that i decided to pull the rigger up and check it out and what appeared to be a 30 gallon trash bag was wraped around my rigger ball.im not sure why i was surprised but somehow that just managed to piss me off
  12. I would not be affraid to claim that on more trips than not i take out my net not to net a fish but to collect someone else's trash.
  13. Well I started a new job this spring and I have had a few medical issues(nothing serious) so as a result I haven't been out this year yet. I want to get out this weekend, probably Saturday haven't decided morning or evening yet. I think ill be going out of port sheldon. So I'm going to be relying heavily on some good fishing reports becouse I have no idea where to start. Well see how this goes ill have fun either way
  14. Did I read that correctly? There are nets north of port sheldon?? Never seen that before

The fatherinlaw had a 1995 185 sea nymph a few years ago.he loved that boat and we fished all over michigan in it.she never let us down but the one thing he said he didn't like about it was the carpet.a few years ago he said he wanted a boat with a cuddy and would take a little more water so she had to go but that's a awesome boat. That being said I agree with the other guys you should pull the carpet back and look for soft wood.
  16. Nice Job on the catch and that is one sweet ride!
  17. Yea I'm hoping to get in atleast a couple of them but ill let ya know it will probably depend on if I'm able to crew up or not
  18. The weather last week had me all antsie and gettin all nervous and.......then it snowed. That suked ok well its just around the corner gonna do a quik tuneup on the Tad Pole this year before it hits the water and before long winter will be a memory Oh on a different note I drove down to Fort Lenardwood to see my son graduate from boot camp,he is going to be attending school to be a horizontal engineer. In my signature he is holding my grandson(I'm truely a blessed guy)
  19. I'm not sure yet where my talents lie but its not photography, everything i take a picture of looks like i colored it with crayons,Ken on the other hand is very skilled I have seen other pics he has taken and there all awesome!
  20. I wouldnt be opposed to one or two evening bite events!
  21. Does anyone know of anyone else who works on the fish hawk probes?? I have one that doesn't work, I used to have two of them one working and unsure if the other one worked.but thats another story
  22. Was out Sunday night and took the kids out(all in there 20's) we had a pretty slow nite we took a steel head early in 112 fow on a north troll with a agent orange 55 down on a rigger. then we trolled out to 225 fow because nothing was happening, and after we got there nothing was still happening so we turned around again and went back in and we took the last fish in 112 fow(DOH) a small 5 pound king, on a 7 color lead with a do-de-ka moonshine. Ok the steelhead was a good 5-6 inches longer than the king and wieghed less by bout a half pound, i havent seen a fish like this one before it put up ZERO fight and it looked like a really overweight person that has lost alot of weight. I was even more surprised when i cleaned her, her eggs all looked like empty corn husks?? anybody else seen this what was wrong with that fish? the meat looked all pale grey and real mushy i tossed it out.
  23. I'm not sure how many fish you catch but I look at all of your posts because the fish in your pictures always looks real healthy nice and fat with great color, way to go keep it up!
  24. Dave I have never ran a spin doctor with a spoon but I have ran hootchie mamma's with spoons with good results so I dont know why it wouldnt work.
