DIRTY DOG

well it was pritty slow out there to day but heres how it went i met sea mac and treblemaker at the launch this morning at 4:30, and as we where motoring out of pigon lake, it started to storm and as we cleared the peirs we seen a brite flash and turned around and come back to wait the storm out, at some where around 6:30 we finaly made it out after catching this nice shot and figured that the fish where at the end of the rainbow with the pot of gold {no pot of gold just 4 to 8 ft rollers with mabey a 10 in there for good mesure} we did managed to go 5 for 7 with the small one being around 12 or 13 lbs and the biger ones around 15 to 17, is my guess we only hade 3 hits on spoons {d.w. beef eater mag on a rigger 60 down this took 1 / d.w. blue glow frog on a 12 coler and a stinger nbk 58 down on a rigger }but the hot set up was a blue meat rig from 150 to 275 back on a wire diver on 1 1/2, and most of the hits where in 85 to 105 fow heres a pic. of the catch and thanks for comeing along mike and tim it was a blast:D

no ,the rubber band slides down with the swivel when the fish hit that bait ,and if the bottom bait is the one whith the fish you just break the rubber band when it gets close to the rod and remove the slider

this is easy , just take your swivel that is on the slider line, opposite the spoon and run it though the loop on the rubber band and snap it to the line above the rubber band if this does not help i can take some pics to better show how terry

No frank ,it was kinda strange i heard a lot of people doing the same thing this morning

well i made it out with my dad and a freind of his on board today ,and it was kinda slow we set lines in 60 fow at 5:30am and went n.w. , the first fish came in 80 on a green glow j-plug down 55 on a rigger and also missed one in the same area ,next was a area 51 on a 10 coler and then it was just picking away at them till around 9 am when it get plain stopped the total was 4 for 8 , 3 kings 1 at 12lbs and 2 around 15 also a laker that went back well it looks like the big boys have finaly got here becouse the other 4 that where farmed where all quality fish that ended in broken lines or just came unbuttoned becouse they did not want to stop other set ups that took hits where a blue with white cruch glow spin dr. and hypnitist fly back 150 on the diver set on 1 danceing anchovie moon shine on a 12 coler and a number m18 proking on a 15 coler well i hope the fish school back up by morning after the big blow the last few days becouse they where scatterd BAD AND IM GOING BACK OUT TOMMORROW:D

Wow jason , ive had this happen to me also, but it was do to very blood suger readings and it was over after i got something to eat or passed out

Also the evbing salmon bite has been hot from what ive heard ,in 90 to 120 fow

havent had any thing real good out of those areas but south haven is SMOKEN

just got done cleaning todays catch ,was not as good as last nite , but we managed 40 nice keepers all around 9 inchers ,and we did get a lot of small one today

well its not a slamon report but its a report last nite after work , and reading all the reports of perch lately, i decided to make a eveninng tour down to south haven with my oldest doughter we found a large school in 31 to 32 fow south of the peirs, but most where small in the 6 to 7 inch class and after moveing a few times found a school of nicer fish in 22 fow and proceeded to pull 70 nice fish in the 9 to 11 inch range , all where on minnows south of the harber between the peirs and deer lick ,well now im headed back to get a few more before the lake get rough on sunday and the fish move out:D
