you want the line to slide down the core this is how ya get your line out to where you want it at how i do it is to 1 hook board to tow cord 2 let board out to desired distense 3 take your rod and let out the amount of line that you want to put out and hook your release to you line 4 hook the large ring {normaly a shower certain ring}that is on the release to the tow cord 5 now start to let the reel free spool till your release is in the proper place on the tow cored {if your setting 3 line to a board ,this would be the one that gos all the way to the board} i normaly set 3 to each cord and make all of the even in length or space them out 25 ft in length with the out side line the longest hope this helps terry

hey rich, are we still doing this ,the wave report dos not look good at all ,something about 3 to 5 and 20 mph from the west

well here how it went this morning , me and a freind from work and his son ,met plumcrazy at the dock at 6:15 and went out to 60 and set up and went south west and found some warmer water out in 100 to 150 fow and ended up 8 for 10 2 kings ,1 on a blue bubble set up on a diver on 3 out 125 and 1 on a circus freak stinger sting ray on a 7 coler 2 steel head, both on 1/2 core with a gold org. killer stingray 1 coho ,on the same as above and 1 laker on a green glow hootch and green glow fly,150 out on a diver on 3 and 2 shakers that were let go on a numger 18 pro king on a 12 coler only 1 hit on a rigger and that was on a mag green dolphin heres a pic of the catch ,not reel big but, it was still fun and thanks for comeing along phil:D

i have 12 lead cores at the presant time 3 ,5 .7 , 10 , 12 .and 15 and 2 of each i think the best are the 10 ,12 and 15 in july and aug and 7 through 12 in the earlyer parts of the summer the 12 and 15 are on okuma convecter 55s and they are not bad to get in becouse of the large spool and the 4 to 1 gear ratio
