Thats correct its about 3 feet at launch however you need to watch youre graph,there is a narrow channel more towards the south side of pigeon lake that you need to stay in or else youll beach youre boat if you stay towards the power plant side.it gets deeper about half way out of lake so go slowwww till than.good luck fishing ill be heading out saturday night and sunday moring so post how you did.

  4. Just spoons only for the same reason would tangle.also spoons and j plugs run at differant boat speeds so you would defeat the purpose of using two differant types of lures,the action of lure would be off.
  5. Ran north out of port sheldon half way to grand haven and turned sw towards holland.set first line at 7;00 am and ran 6 lines 2-dipsyses,2-riggers,1-300 copper and 1-lead core. What worked. Speed 2.6 to 2.8 went 3-4 1-5lbs king on lead core using a blue dolphin mag spoon. 1-18lbs king on dipsey set at 125ft using a mix veg. Mag spoon. 1-20lbs king on down rigger set at 52ft using a dr.death ss spoon. Lost one on a dispey set at 145 using a carmel dolphin around 11;00 started troll in 100fow and worked out to 190fow with all fish taken between the 152fow to 180fow.all fish taken were between 7;30 till 9;00 am. Than shut right down till started to pull lines at 11;00 when 1 hit port side dipsey.had a great time and no flies!

WENT OUT LAST NIGHT WITH A GUY FROM WORK WHO HAD NEVER FISHED BEFORE ON LAKE MICHIGAN TO SAY THE LEAST HE WAS IN A ROUGH RIDE SINCE LAKE WAS ROUGH FOR FIRST TIMER BUT HE HANDLE IT JUST FINE.STARTING OUT HALF WAY BETWEEN GRAND HAVEN AND PORT SHELDON HEADING SOUTH WITH THE WAVES.RAN 100FOW TO 120FOW AT SPEED OF 2.4 TO 3.4 DO TO WAVES.WE WENT 3 FOR 4 WITH THE LARGEST WAS A 25LBS KING THAT HAPPENED TO BREAK MY ROD AT BASE BECAUSE THE NEWBE PULLED ROD BACK SO HARD OUT OF ROD HOLDER TO SET HOOK HE FOGOT TO TAKE OUT OF HOLDER.:eek:ANYWAY CAUGHT 1-KING 8LBS ON 10 COLOR LEAD USING A BLUE DOLPHIN MAG SPOON.CAUGHT 2-KING 1-12LBS AND THE BEAST A 25LBS ON DOWN RIGGERS SET AT 42FOW AN 52FOW USING A DR.DEATH SS SPOON AND LOST ONE AT THE BOAT ON A 300 COPPER USING A PETES BAIT SS SPOON.

Fished 5;30 till dark.started at 12ofow went out to 140fow on a sw troll at 2.6 to 2.8 speed.went 4 for 5.what worked.had six lines out,1-ten color lead core,1-300 copper,2-dips and 2-riggers.caught 1-coho and 1-king on 300 copper running double orange crush spoon.caught 1-king on ten color lead core using mixed veg and 1-king on rigger set at 80fow using moonshine lure green with lightning bolt white just at sunset.great night to be out.

  11. Way to go with the tow guys,may god shine down on you with a good catch next time out.
  12. Ill be out also thursday out of port sheldon,ill have the radio set at 68 and will let you know how were doing and what depth justin and jim.
