it took 10 years but we finally got drawed to fish a state owned trout stream in castalia OH 3 of us caught our 15 in no time wish we would of had some kids to take along other than it was only 24 degrees out they would of had a ball.cant imagin pulling a 20lb king out of the rivers up north these little guys put up a heck of a fight

just spooled 2 cv55 reels with 300ft 60lb copper 300ft 50lb braid backing 60ft 50lb mono from braid backer to copper to connect board 50ft 25lb flouro leader fit ok

i use smelly jelly herring flaver holds on the lures very well.not sure how much it helps if any but i know it dosnt hurt have done well using it. i just like thinking its helping i guess

took a little weekend vaca to fish with a friend out of grand haven went just a little south in 220-230 ft of water 4 kings 1 lake trout 10 coho on saturday. only 4 coho on sunday white paddle and fly on wire out about 140 and green plug on 6 color did the best. nice area 1st time have ever been there was nice not to have to pull the boat and just hop on his boat and go
