  4. your boats just like mine we fished out of holland last saturday in some pretty big waves handeled it pretty well
  5. so sorry for your loss sherman im sure you have some good stories to tell about times spent with your brother

  7. step son and i left home friday about 2pm for our 1st salmon trip of the year launched boat at 6:30pm ended up with 4 lost a few. saturday fished with the waves ended up with 4 again lost a few more .sunday was our best day kept 5 left 1 go lost 1 fished a little north 125-145 ft of water sw troll 30lb 45lb copper and lead core worked best sun. moonshine spoons on long lines and white paddles with white fly down riggers 80ft worked the best for the weekend the one we lost sunday was about a 15lber it was in the net turned and it was gone thats how it goes all and all was a good first time to holland .ride home was a little hetic lots of road construction and we blew a trailer tire thanks to a some nice guy in a van that loned us some tools got back on the road pretty quick .
  8. with all the good reports going to give the walleye a break here on lake erie and make the 4hr drive to Holland next friday never fished there before have only been to Manistee sounds like we will be putting in at the state park fishing sat and sun am is there a certain radio channel you guys run on thanks todd
  9. last year in the spring there were lots of dead walleye floating in the lake and washing up on the beaches the lake was rough and muddy for so long combined with the stress of spawning in the shallows killed some off they tested the fish for disease finding none said they were just stressed out
  10. we have had great spring weather this year lots of nice size fish caught. last year was a bust cold and rough all spring dead walleye floating everywere. based on what i have seen and nothing else this should be a great spawning year were still getting them in the same spots we did before the storm have not seen one dead fish this year yet
  11. k can and cone reef has been good out of turtle point little cedar point is about a 9 mile run to the west from there our you can put in at meinke marina there is a public launch there then only a 3 mile run to the west
  12. now since the wind finally let up it will be interesting to see if the jig bite will still be on in that area
  13. went out after work fished till dark same spot as previous post were we have been doing good same program 4 guys ended up with 8 fish didnt turn on for us till dusk last 4 trips out fish have been running alot smaller
  14. sorry for the late report was trying to post pics cannot see were it says upload pics when i start my album anyway went out after work friday to L can out front davis bessie power plant 4 of us kept 11 threw about 5 small ones back saturday moved more west to maumee bay just me and the step son had our 8 before 8am fished another hour just for fun between little ceader point and the light house 12ft of water returned to same spot sunday 4 of us had our 16 around 9am fished for fun another hour getting a early start was the trick black jigs took most fish tipped with a small white rubber minnow had 50 mile ahour winds all day yesterday hope it didnt stir the lake up to bad it will be interesting to see when this jig bite ends since it got such a early start with the warm spring
  15. left out of fenwicks by davis besie early good thing lake got pretty rough while we were out just 2 of us picked up our 8 pretty quick out front crane creek beach 20ft of water black and purple jigs tiped with minnows
