  1. I have not been able to find the current satellite pictures, does anyone know where or how to see them? I used to be able to see them at Lake Mi Modus imagery (something like that) but now can't find it. Any one know where to see current views of the ice on Lake MI?
  2. First fish taken on the new boats maiden voyage and another first--a grandson
  3. I use this but with only one splice. I have a 300 copper with just enough mono at 200 to go from the board to the boat (75-100') so I'm not hanging copper between the 2. It works fine for me giving me the option of using it as a 200 or a 300 copper. I wouldn't want to more than one though as it adds a lot of line. It does make a long line to reel in when its all out.
  4. I don't know how long it lasts but I just received my order and it worked for me. I got my order incredibly fast in either 1 or 2 days after placing it and I thing it was next day. Great service and nice discount if it still is available and I think it was till the end of the year.
  5. I am looking for a Lowrance power cord (blue connector for hds). Anyone have one they want to sell? I might also be willing to buy a used unit that has this power cord if the price is right. I am moving my unit to a different boat and figured I'd leave the power cable along with the ducer cable that can't be moved. I bought a new ducer but need the power cable. Near Holland only as I don't want to drive an hour for a cable. Thanks and happy boat prep's. Bob
  6. Tell them all to pitch in ($??) each and that you also will pitch in and donate it to a good cause like maybe something that ensures our hunting and fishing will continue for the next few generations.
  7. I have a Minn-Kota I Pilot on my 18' Pro Sport and love it. I let the I Pilot steer while the kicker pushes and its about the best investment in fishing I ever made. Has lots of other very nice features as well.
  8. I'm working on a heat seeking ploon. Its a mix between a plug and a spoon with a radar guided heat seeking head (which will be available in 3 colors). Its guaranteed to seek out any fish within 300 meters and either entice them to bite or nuke them till they glow. Sign up now for first editions which will be marketed soon for about $6375.00 but for prerelease buyers there is a $2.00 discount.
  9. I won't forget. Thank you-everyday
  10. Looking for options/ suggestions to have the motor (302 ford mercruiser) and outdrive removed to repair a soft mount and then reinstalled. Might also need shift cable work as it wants to hesitate or stall when accelerating from idle and it won't allow the motor to turn over if the shift handle is moved forward much from the idle position. (Can't give it gas to start) Its a 1973. So any ideas how to get this done reasonable or where to go? Any mechanics out there looking for some work in my heated barn? Best local mechanics for working on this old stuff? Thanks
  11. Thanks Jimmy, have a great winter. I have another project underway for next year that I'm excited about. It'll keep the blood running waiting for spring. Hope we can hook up again next year on yours or mine (its my turn)
  12. Disclaimer: Not all scientists agree on this. These are the same scientists that said the planet would basically come to an end in 10 years in a Congressional meeting and that was about 13? years ago? Ought to send them to the South pole where they have too much cold and snow.
  13. Sure makes me wanna fish, hope I get some time soon. Nice job
  14. Theres a lot of big kings in front of the state park as that fishery runs later. Landed several this morning over 20# surf casting and boats were getting them in 20-30' of water.
  15. fish ran just over 21, 100' of water, flounder, white spinnie 10" and 8" with white fly and white meat rig, and a couple plugs which I think were yellow and red, and a wonder bread. waves were 2 1'2 and quite bumpy to start but were more of a roller so not to bad going with them and had settled a bit later. Fog was thick and the flies thicker
  16. I've been taking a friend of my dads fishing while he is on vacation here and today was his last trip for this year and he finished it in pretty good order. 6 for 9 with a couple big dogs and he lost a big one just behind the boat and had a monster take a 300 copper and never look back as he just kept peeling line and straightened out a hook as we were starting to wonder just how much backer we had. One throw back that almost made the noon grill. I think he's looking forward to next year already
  17. Very nice boat, I see your not too far away in Hamilton. I live in the Overisel suburbs.
  18. Nice week Ben and nice big fish. I haven't been able to land any over 20 yet as I seem to lose them even one right out of the net when the fly line broke as I was hand lining him into the net. Couple weeks to keep trying I guess. Good job
  19. 8 for 9 this am before I had to run in to work. Took a young man out who had a good time. 160-200 best water for me again. Spoons and flies, couldn't buy a hit on meat today. No real pattern except small spoons on sliders went 2 or 3 times up high. Big king on white flasher fly 100 down.
  20. about out from the sliders to maybe a mile or 2 south of them.
  21. marked bait and what seemed like a few fish in 70' so started there but nothing happened so headed west and didn't mark anything from 90-150. Then things picked up.
  22. Took a friend of my dads out today and ended with a 2 man limit today going 10 for 11 with a nice mix of Kings, coho, steelhead and a Laker to finish the day. Best water started past 160 and was best for us around 200. Mostly 40-60 down with one from 125. No special baits as it was all over with 3 on spoons, 3 on flies, 3 on meat and one on a plug. One never saw the fridge:
  23. My son has 3 or 4 buildings for storage and is reasonably priced but he always fills up so to get a spot if you want one don't wait to long. I have several spots also 27' long.
