  1. How are the preloaded inland lakes on the Raymarine? Now I am just contemplating between the a57 with the preloaded maps or without. Are the great lakes part of the inland maps? Thanks
  2. I thought that was Priority One I saw in the driveway. I would have stopped in to say hi, but i wasn't sure my eyes read the side of the boat right as we zipped by. Thanks for putting the pic in!!!
  3. I tried to post the pic in this thread, but it says I may not post attachments. I did post the pics in the gallery under boats. I fat fingered it though and put 2002 instead of 2003 Frank, Do you have a house right on the bay? I think I saw Priority one on my way up to Alpena.
  4. Just got back from picking up the boat. The boat is really clean and all the issues can easily be corrected. I don't know much about what went down with much, but John was upfront about the issues with me. The motor can easily be dropped down a notch. With all used stuff though, you definitely absorb some risk. Only time will tell though. Thanks guys, Brandon
  5. I pick up my new boat tomorrow and need a combo unit. I have it narrowed down to 2. 1st is a humminbird 788 ci. The 2nd is a Raymarine Raymarine A-Series Chartplotter/Fishfinder with Inland US Charts. My last boat had a Humminbird 757 ci and I liked it but I had to send it in the first year for a new transducer. Customer service had it back in a week though. I also didn't really care for how the unit snapped into the mount. I can get the bird for less than $500. I can get the Raymarine for just over $700. I have heard nothing but great things about the Raymarine. Just want to know if it is worth the extra $215? I have a place on Houghton Lake so that's where it will mostly be used. I will also be fishing the Sag Bay, Lake Huron, and Lake Michigan. Spending the money for the Raymarine isn't a problem as long as I am getting a superior product. Thanks Brandon
  6. The biggest spread I will run is 2 riggers and 4 divers. Thanks
  7. What size downrigger booms should I be looking at? I had short booms on my 16.5 lund. I am picking up my new to me boat this Saturday and want to start outfitting it with tracks and riggers. Just want to know if you guys like 42 inch booms or the 2 fters? I need to get 2 for a 19ft aluminum boat. Thanks, Brandon
  8. I called and talked to John. He said that the guy looking at it wasn't wanting to pay full price and didn't want to leave a deposit. Kinda feel bad now that your buddy was the guy. Brandon
  9. Well i just put money down on the boat. Picking it up Saturday! Thanks
  10. There is a boat at Signature Motors in Alpena right on US 23 that I am interested in. Just don't want to drive from Flint Area only to find out it is a pile. I know it is a long shot. Just hoping someone lives real close and likes to look at boats:) Would be willing to ship someone some new spoons for checking it out. If willing please pm me. If not, looks like a road trip! Thanks, Brandon
  11. Yeah I am in no hurry. Just new to the cuddy type boats. I really like the trophies so that will prob be what I focus on. So if you guys see any great deals on one please pm me. I would like to stay between 19' and 23'. Would be great to find a nicely rigged one that is less than 10 years old with an outboard. Thanks again guys.
  12. That's kind of what I thought. The boat looks exceptionally clean but it looks more like a family cruiser than a fish slaying machine. Thanks
  13. I have the itch to get another boat. Sold my Lund and want to get into a big water boat. Looking at a 1994 2355 Bayliner Ciera Sunbridge. The transom doesn't look the best for fishing, but what do I know? Also, the boat I am looking at had some gelcoat cracks in the hull that are getting fixed as we speak. Is that something to be worried about after it is fixed. Boat has less than 200 hours and is priced at 12,000. Does that seem inline with comparable boats? Thanks Brandon
  14. Went up to houghton lake this past weekend and passed a 25ish foot bayliner with a great lakes fisherman decal on it. I wanted to stop and check it out but was tight on time to get back to Genesee County. Just wondering about the boat. Sold my Lund at beginning of season and looking to get into a big water boat. Thanks Brandon
  15. How many feet of mono backer and how many feet of 30 lb power pro? Also what lb for the backer (20)? These will be used for my diver rods. Thanks Brandon
  16. If I was to tangle with a shark I would want it to be one of those teddy bears. He would just gum ya to death.
  17. Welcome! You will love this place. It is full of the some of the nicest guys you will meet.
  18. I have bert tracks and use traxtech downrigger swivels in them. The berts have a more polished look and the traxtechs have a rough textured powder coating. They look fine paired together though.
  19. Great pics!! I especially like the 2nd pic through the net.
  20. Sounds like a great day on the water to me. Great work!
