Well been really sick the past week and a half but I'm finally coming back out of it. It is my gall bladder thats bad. Doesn't appear to be any infection in my pancreas. The weird thing is I don't have any gall stones or sludge or any of the more common issues related to gall bladder dysfunction. It appears my gall bladder just quit working. It doesn't contract properly and its acting like a blockage in the biliary tract. The bile backs up until the bladder becomes inflamed and infected. Its horribly painful! I am scheduled to see a surgeon this coming week. Hopefully everything moves along quickly from here. This has been going on or a really long time! Thanks to everyone for their kinds words thoughts and prayers.

Hopefully its just my gall bladder and not the pancreas. I want to feel better so bad you can't imagine!

Just wondering if anyone else here has ever had this condition? I've been sick since last Christmas and the doctors finally think this is whats wrong with me. I've lost 50lbs. Can you believe it? I can't eat meat or anything fried or anything dairy. Sometimes all I can do is drink fluids. No eating at all. The pain ranges from bareable to unbareable. But it never goes away. Tomorrow I am going to U of M hospital for another test. They're trying to figure out if the infection is in my pancreas or just my gall bladder. If its just the gall bladder I will be having it removed. If its in my pancreas I will have to stay in the hospital for awhile while for treatment. I guess they have to try and suck the infection out of me while they pump me full of antibiotics. I was supposed to begin my turkey season tommorow too. Oh well. At this point I'd gladly miss the season if it meant I could start getting better again. I sure do miss eating meat

If you have a decent tractor that has PTO you can buy a PTO operated generator/alternator for quite a bit less than a complete standby unit. A good PTO operated generator 15000 watts that will run your entire house start out at about $1500.00 new. You can find them at farm auctions sometimes for real cheap. My friend got a 17000 watt for a $150.00 at a farm auction. It works fine.

Thats awesome Ed! I hope you left some birds for me though My season begins next weekend. And I'll be hunting in the waterloo and sharonville areas. I no longer have any private land to hunt at all. The farm I used to hunt was sold this past winter and the new owner wouldn't even let me bid on a lease. Glad you were successful

I've been trying to get a turkey with my bow for quite a few years now. I've come close several times but so far I have never succeeded at it. It's one of those things you know, that gets under your skin. You wouldn't think it would be that hard so when you try and fail a few times you either get more determined or give up completely. I've never been one to give up. Call it determined or stubborn. Either way I'm not giving up Thinking maybe this is gonna be my year

The nice weather is really sweet. I'm starting to feel better lately. I was able to get outside and shoot my bow this afternoon. Made me feel good just to know I still could. I was starting to get a bit worried I wouldn't be able to bow hunt ever again. Doctors still aren't sure what been wrong with me. We all just hope/pray I keep getting better. Hope everyone is getting excited for the turkey season

Good job I want to go fishing so bad I can't stand it. Been really sick though. Almost three months now. Doctors can't figure it out. Seeing you guys pictures helps me feel better. Hopefully they get me figured out soon so I can get out too. Thanks for the pictures!

Glad your all right Dave. Not a good time of year to take a swim. Looks like a couple guys capsized their boat on the grand this morning. Hopefully they are all right. I was up to oscoda the past few days for my b-day. The ausable is low and clear. Couldn't find any fish either Had the whole river to myself. Saw one other fisherman the whole time I was up there. Lots of waterfowl. Saw a couple eagles fighting. Fish would have been cool, but oh well. It was worth the trip anyway.

I've landed plenty of skams on 8lb test. Not all line is created equal though. I use P-line. I also tie good knots and keep fresh line on my reels. Makes a huge difference. Braids suck when its nasty out. And just wait till you get it stuck in the rocks and can't break it off. Each to his own though. No right or wrong. Just what you prefer. Personally I prefer longer rods and lighter line. Basically the shorter the rod the heavier the line needs to be and vice versa.

This winter is going fast. I almost forgot to apply for a turkey permit Don't forget. Tuesday is the last day to apply!
