  1. I think your on the right track with the wire Brian, wire is a must IMO. You could also think about adding some copper to the mix but if don't have any large capacity reels $100 isn't going to make it very far.
  2. I believe Yankee Troller is using the Humminbird radar, he may be able to give you some info.
  3. Nice looking rig Andy, good luck with the sale.
  4. I have thought about this in the past and wondered if the Salmon from MI head back across the lake in August when it seem like the fishing slows down and the average size decreases.... at least the last few years for us.
  5. Good to have you aboard Charlie, let us know if you need anything.
  6. Nice job on the silver Josh, makes me wish I didn't have all my gear tucked away already.
  7. I noticed you mentioned copper wire... Copper is not the type of wire your looking for to run divers. The wire you want to use is 30# stainless wire. Copper is primarily used on planer boards, and run the same as leadcore. You will also want to have the wire on the shorter rods if you are planning to run multiple diver per side.
  8. Nice job fishing the skinny water Charlie, thanks for the report.
  9. Welcome to GLF Dan, and thanks for the info!
  10. Often as I read reports I will look up spoons if I am unfamiliar with them, the ones I like I will buy and give them some time in the water. Occasionally I will pick up a spoon that someone tells me about, or one I just felt like trying. For flies I tend to pick my own. My hottest spoon of the year was probably a Flounder Pounder but we didn't have anything that really seamed to stand out. My best fly for the year was a light green and glow from ITO behind a white pearl glow SD. Also did well with a blue-green ITO.
  11. I agree, that would be neat.... Would have to upgrade to 45# wire if that happened.
