  2. I'd say youre gonna have a good few years. 2007 was a good hatch and 2010 was an average hatch. Plenty of fish to play with for the next few years. Most of the eggs have already hatched from the early spawn this year so it might be good but no way we'll see a 2003 for years to come. 2011 looks like it was a bust
  3. Good Luck Capt. Hope to be on the water no later than 3. Planning on hitting turtle or the mansion depending on the seas
  4. Good Grief what a BS hack job!! Thank goodness they're preparing to build more. Nuclear power IS the future for domestic energy needs
  5. Gary I think you guys have another tag line!
  6. Amazing how this has grown over the years. Tim has done a great job. Good to see ya again Dave and thanks for the help at the end:) I came home $40 lighter wih $100 worth of gear
  7. All gorgeous but I especially like May 26
  8. Braid. You get more line on you reel because the diameter is much smaller for the same lb test. Copper is very thick line so room on the reel is usually at a premium 30lb power pro has the same diameter as 8lb mono 50lb = 12 lb mono
  9. Yup I think if you're mostly fishing for fun then get the 32. If you're fishing for competition then get the 45. I got the 32
  10. Nikon 550 prostaff. Hard to find people saying anything negative about this unit for the price
  11. You fellas don't do anything halfway do ya:thumb:
  12. Nice Ben. Where did you get the whole herring?
  13. You tied up to a bunch of guys so they could get pumped and filled up in Saugatuck
  14. There's actually an interesting history behind that;) Back in 2002 10 boats got together in Manistee over labor day weekend to have a friendly tournament. Trout Tracker and Caznik came up with the rules and we all had a blast. In 2002 coho's were worth 10 and kings 5 to compensate for the size difference. Everybody had such a blast that it became an annual thing however because of a typo in 2003 the king and coho points were switched. A big hub bub ensued at the weighin that year and it ended up that it stayed at 10 for kings/5 for cohos forever after. The WMFL actually spawned from this original Labor Day tourney and so the rules carried over. Last year sixshooter ran the league and wanted to try the old school values the league started on. It's about the fun and the friendships with a little cash and bragging rights coming second. Part of that was the original point rule. Ken just brought back the point system that has been around for most of the years and that most guys know
  15. We ended up going out on mine Ken. He had already signed up so we just kept it under him:)
  16. Had a great time fishing my first league event in 2 years. Great group of guys and setup. We went deep when we should have stayed shallow. Nobody could convince me that the fish were in 80-100 the first week of June:beee: Of course I was proven wrong again. We still ended up a respectable 7 for 10. Landed a 9.5 inch stream rainbow out in 190 fow Thanks for all the work Ken and Dave
  17. I've had some noticeable success with them on early May kings and staging kings;)
  18. Steve I just did mine last week. If you can wait until we meet up next week I have a bunch of extra swivels and shrinktube and I'll show you how to twist it up. Pretty simple. Hardest thing is finding the swivels and the right size shrink tube:yes:
  19. Dave your red flare counts as a Daytime distress signal. You don't need a flag
