  1. It is pretty amazing how foolish these guys are sometimes....more times than not it is the locals that should know better that do this!
  2. Cory Thanks for taking the time for the intro. I sure do envy a 100 trip year
  3. Here is a pick of my first fish, which we ate off of for 3 nights and was amazing table fare! Working on the videos now and should have them posted up later today.
  4. I do....I do! Another addiction and I can't wait to get back!
  5. Here are a few pics...more to come and the videos when i get home tomorrow! View from our room Our Capt. Andreas of the Bad Market Our deckhand Antonio...this guys would be great to have as a hand on my boat! Stephanies Fish that she fought for over an hour.....we shipped it to florida to get it mounted:D Me fighting a 150 pound fish on 30# tackle
  6. We planned to head out 40 miles this morning for some yellow fin tuna because the marlin have been really slow but the marlin had other plans for today! We were just getting ready start motoring around lands end and we saw the first marlin. We spooled out live big eye...bam! Fight is on and spits the hook, so dissapointed thinking it was going to be our only shot. Next we hit a 35 lb mahi mahi and put it in the box!then another marlin and wouldn't you know it........I'm down in the head. My fiance fights for 45 min with it and we boat it! This fish weighed in 30 lbs heavier than she is!! Two more missed marlin and I finally got my chance. That is one feisty fish! Boated our second marlin and my arms are still shaking! Pics and some awesome video of steph and her dance with a marlin when I can get to upload it! Just what I needed.....another addiction! All for now from cabo!
  7. Matt Great Pics....it's great to see someone your age so into salmon fishing! You are going to have one hell of a lot of knowledge in that head when you get to be our age.
  8. Slimy Hooker....sorry I couldn't resist:grin:
  9. John What is the rough size of these weights?
  10. Jr I'll see if i can find some pics of mine. I had to go to a custom bracket due to having to extend beyond my trim tabs. Mine was a pain in the a$$ and we had to find a high strength material because of the elect start/pwr tilt adding to the weight of the unit and extending back so far to clear the tab support was a big issue. When i was first looking into this i found some standard brackets, online somewhere, that would have worked if i was willing to lose the tabs and with the newer pro line tabs being kind of recessed up into the hull and out of the way you should find something standard....if not, you know a guy at GT welding i'm sure!
  11. Awesome! One of these days.....I'm coming to visit the crazy yankee!
  12. I have mine added to my homeowners ins through auto owners insurance. Same thing as progressive on the agreed price for the boat, motors and all of the gear $37,000 all together. My premium went up around $200 per year when i added it.
  13. We tend to only pull the copper out if we feel like fishing late into the morning or early afternoon when things slow a little. I really don't like using copper due to the fact that it is a pain in the A$$ to deal with and it is not all that much fun reeling in a fish that is behind 300' of heavy wire, but i usually find myself throwing it out there because it flat out catches fish when other rigs don't! We have run flashers off of the copper before but typically just a clean spoon, bomber long-a (thanks capt. John) or a rattle plug.
  14. Mike I run a 20' leader on the copper and 30' leader on my half to full cores and have had pretty good luck with both. THE ONLY THING I LIKE ABOUT COPPER IS.....that it catches fish! Don't let just anyone rig the copper though, it can cause an awful mess:mad:
  15. Jon My fiance and I are headed to Cabo on March 5th thru the 12th to do some fishing and diving. I should be able to get you the low down after the trip. Hopefully it will be telling you WHO to fish with rather than WHO NOT to fish with. My dad has a friend that fishes the Bisbee down there and put me on to some good leads. It will be past the hot season for the blue and black marlin, but the striped marlin and swords should be there along with the dorado and yellowtail tuna. Looking forward to posting something!!
  16. That boat has really felt the love over the years. Nice job!
  17. The troll master is priceless. I installed an auto pilot at the same time and i think the throttle control is just as valuable as the AP.
