  1. Billy....I have all tekotas for my rigger and diver program. How do the saltist and tekotas compare in your HONEST opinion?
  2. Isn't that the truth! Rich.....at least the practice was fun. Better luck next time!
  3. Splashed my boat yesterday morning for the shakedown cruise. Started with a flat on the boat trailer and a struggle to find an air chuck but we got past that. Everything worked great except my depth raider said it was 50 degrees 15' down:confused:...not in superior this time of year so i am going to have to look into that one. We tried to get out of the bay and as stubborn as i am we did actually make it outside, but soon realized that the 4's turned into 5's and then 6's and it didn't look like fun so we turned around and set up in the bay. Ended the day 5-5 all small coho around 2 lbs which was better than i had thought the day was going to end when our plans were ruined once again by mother nature.
  4. Welcome Dennis! A question never goes unanswered around here.
  5. Welcome to GLF Steve. You will find our site very helpful and friendly.
  6. Nick Sounds like our story from yesterday in a 16' boat. Not fun in the least bit. Better luck next time.
  7. This unit goes with the 010-c0717-00 Lake michigan blue chart g2 3D vision card. This unit is 2 years old and have over $1000 into it with the chip. Asking $575 firm or i will hold onto it. Info on the unit: This chartplotter provides the brightest, sharpest, most colorful graphics you've ever seen on a 5-inch screen. See clearly as you navigate with the 525's crisp, sunlight-readable VGA display driven by a high-speed processor. This chartplotter offers exceptional detail, fast redraw rates, and the most realistic photo-enhanced cartography ever seen in this class of fixed-mount electronics. The 525's worldwide basemap can be enhanced with the optional BlueChart g2 Vision card, which provides high-resolution aerial reference photos for help navigating tricky harbors and channels - or locating spots like area marinas, fuel stops or restaurants. The g2 Vision plug-in SD data card also allows the GPSMAP 525 to graphically depict a true 3D "mariner's eye" topside view or "fish eye" underwater navigation perspective. With fewer buttons to push and fewer operational steps to navigate, the GPSMAP 525's simplified menu format makes it easy for you to see and select the data you want to access on-screen. The 525s comes with powerful dual frequency or dual beam sonar to clearly paint depth contours, fish targets, structure, etc. It's also CANet capable, allowing sounder data to be shared with other plotter displays on your boat.

  9. I have to go with the Dmax as well. I have a tundra, Ford f250, Chevy 1500, Dodge 3500 cummins and I will hop in the 2500 dmax over any of them for comfortable ride while towing and mileage is great!
