  1. Thats about my thought too. Some fish do hang south also just spread out alot more. Summer time they spread out into the lake more rather than just following the shoreline I believe too.
  2. Welcome to the site Kevin. Andy knows a thing or too about fishing. He has helped me out alot too. Those steelies are an awesome fight and great table fare. Lots of great guys on this site that will help ya out and get ur boat rigged up. You should head to the Introduction forum. Good luck

  5. Went out bass/pike fishing as the big lake is kicking. Ended up with 2 fish in the boat a 14" bass and this 20" monster. 20" on my big dipsy rod with #030 dipsy i think with a crawler harness out 22'. Just started ripping out drag:grin:. Fished some topwater for awhile and missed a bunch of fish. Had a hammerhandle come completely out of the water after it, all i could see was the silouette. Beautiful night to be out, perfect temp, few bugs. Mysecond biggest largemouth to date. Sushiman didnt catch anything:p The fellas in the bass boats were just wondering how that Nee Hi always outfishes the big dogs!!!
  6. Learn it , love it, live it:grin: I got 1 CV 55 for the 300' shes a nice solid reel;)
  7. 45# copper would get you the best depth. Leader length is always debateable but 30' sounds good.I use braid as backer and double wrap the clips. I think next year they will get a mono section between as it takes longer to unwrap boards with a fish on them and I think it may be weakening the line as i have had some backer break.(only my power pro and no ripcord even though both 30#) Just my .02:grin: I have coated and uncoated, coated is much friendlier. Good choices. I love my 150, 200 and 300' that are all new this year. 150' has yet to catch a fish for me yet thoug. 200 and 300 prob 20-30 fish.?.?...
  8. Welcome to GLF Mike. This is a great site with great people. Lots to learn and lots of help with various opinions of how to accomplish the same thing:grin:. Questions always welcome around these parts. Tight lines!

  12. I use 8' of 20# flouro for spoons and 4-6' 25# Big Game for flashers. How the heck do u land fish with 20-40' leader? Do u guys handline after the leader?
  13. What would i pay just to be fishing right now???
