  1. JDH making it happen. Impressive memory with that list of offerings. Thanks for the detailed reports. Very helpful.
  2. Beautiful!!! Nice work with the meat rigs. Have to love the pre storm bites. You’ve nailed it twice in last week or so. Love it.
  3. Lines in 5:45 am, waves 1 ft or less. Fished 85-135 FOW 6:05 am: 110 FOW, Miss, didn’t seem too big, rigger down 60 ft, Mag MS Green jeans 7:00 am: 100 FOW, 16 lb King, 10 color leadcore, Mag RV MS Green Jeans that was bent from a fish last year. The bend seems to give it better action. 8:30 am: 93 FOW, 13 lb King, 10 color again with same bent Mag RV Green jeans No hits on 300 WS with assorted flasher flies Pulled lines at 9 am. Beautiful morning.
  4. Glad you got two. I went 0-1 in the morning yesterday. Green flounder pounder has been hot for me all season. I keep seeing reports for bloody nose success. I’ve yet to land a fish with it the last month. LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  5. Welcome to the board,Billy! You did better than me this morning. I had one hit that I lost it half way to the boat. Sure was a beautiful morning though.
  6. Not as bad. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  7. Holland 7/3 pm Solo 2-2 Fished 7-9 pm in 95-145 FOW with no hits. Then things changed. 9:00 pm: 27 lb king, rigger down 78 ft, 90 FOW, Rasta goose std, was quite a fight and fun netting it solo. 9:20 ish: after getting the big one netted I realized it had tangled with my diver. Before I could get the tangle cleared a 9 lb king hit the diver. What fun. Wrapped the diver line around a pole holder and got the tangle fixed before the fish got off the diver line. 9 lb king, diver back 225 on 3 setting, meat rig. Called it a night. 2 hour boat ride and 30 minutes of chaos. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman

  18. One landed is better than none! Sorry for the late report. I went out of Holland with a friend from Texas yesterday morning (6/16 am). Fished from 5:30 - 9 am. Similar results. 2-3. Ran all glow spoons early, switched out one to SD and meat rig later in the morning. Did several c spoon color changes. Ran 10 color, 300 weighted steel, 2 high divers and one rigger. 300 weighted had all the bites. Fished 65-150 fow. All bites in 70 fow range. 1. 7:00 am, smaller fish , lost it half way to the boat, 300 weighted steel, mag ms flounder pounder 2. 7:20 am, same 300 setup, landed and released small lake trout. 3. 7:40 am: 10 lb king, same 300 WS with the same flounder pounder. Stopped at the DNR station later in the day to grind the guts. Talked to three boats. No one had more than three fish. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman

  20. I like that solo strategy as well. I don’t catch much on my sliders but you make a good point about drawing in the fish! Always learning something from you guys. Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman

  22. Glad you got the shakedown completed Fin Warrior. Jim and Karen have been good friends for years. Our kids all swam competitively together for many years! Get that boat out fishing. I need some good reports! Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman
  23. Good work ,Ed. I didn’t do so well. My main engine serpentine belt broke as I left the harbor. Had to navigate back to my dock with the kicker motor, steering with autopilot only. Took me 6 attempts to get the boat back on the lift. Was kind of an adventure.
