  7. The school year is over! I'm in a fishing tournament for the whole month of June and my first outing of the month was a smashing success. Multispecies Fishing Tournament - Creek Edition (ep. 1)
  8. Thanks for the heads up about the bite on the bay. You’re more than likely right about the other platforms being a bit more popular these days. Good luck on the water, tight lines… Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  10. Tons of walleye on the bay the bite is crazy right now. It’s probably got more to do with the lack of people posting on forums with the other social media platforms.

  12. Hi, I’ve only checked this page a few times, no post in years, why not share? More fish for grandpa’s, garandkid’s and sons or daughters, less fish for the commercial fisherman in my mind. I say this because my first , best life memories are from fishing with grandpa, dad, brother and four sisters. Spread love on the water, it’s my new passion! Retired April fools day 2024, let the fish stories roll… Tight lines, be safe on da water! Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  13. I absolutely know that frustration! lol. Sometimes they just don't bite but what I've found best is to just stay in that zone where they're marking and keep circling it until the bite turns on, which is typically right at sunrise or sunset. Some evenings it feels like a 30-60min window where they'll turn on and bite, then just be on them. I've found Moonshine RV glow spoons to work best then. I'll troll over the marks in the daylight with all sorts of different baits and nothing, not until the sun kisses the water and disappears does it suddenly became go-time and they bite.
  14. It's good to see those marks can be cracked. My dad and I for three straight trips have been seeing those marks in the 120's and 130's but could buy a hit despite throwing the kitchen sink at them Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  15. Good report you covered a lot of territory last night. I hope the Kings are starting to move down too. Sent from my Z5156CC using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  16. Fished 6pm-9:30pm. 1/3, 9lb Laker early & lost a decent king at sunset. Lake was very calm, very light South/Southeast wind made for easy trolling any direction. Spent the first couple hours out deeper out of curiosity, 160-190FOW, picked up 9lb Laker in 160FOW halfway to Saugatuck on Low Diver with meat rig. Didn't mark much out there. Around 8/8:30pm moved back in and started seeing some great marks along with some bait in 120-130FOW so fished that zone heading back North through sunset. Bite turned on at sunset, 9-9:30pm. Fought & lost a nice king on 275 copper dancing anchovy spoon around 9:20pm. Another hit & miss on same meat rig on low diver back 200ft shortly after. Fished Grand Haven tournament over the weekend and the fishing was brutal.... fish were hard to come by and many were small 1-3lb kings. Amatuer winner caught 20 fish totaling 48.7lbs... (2.4lb average). However, based on the marks & hits I saw last night and the two previous Holland reports from 6/3 on here I'm encouraged there are some decent kings around yet by us here in Holland. 9lb Laker 175FOW, Low Diver back 200ft, 6:30pm. Innovator 10in SD w/ A-Bomb meat rig Avg. King (Fought, Didn't Land): 130FOW, 9:20pm, 275 Copper w/ Moonshine Dancing Anchovy mag spoon Hit & Miss in 130FOW at 9:30pm, Low Diver back 200ft. Innovator 10in SD w/ A-Bomb meat rig
  17. Nice catching! Hope I can find some of that action on my next trip.
  18. Great job Aaron! There were very few boats out. Oh how I miss those extra lures when I don't have company. Sent from my Z5156CC using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  19. Went 1 for 2, solo. Missed a short bite in 60 fow on my way out. Then at 9:39am picked up a pudgy king, 9#-28"long in a 150 fow, on a west troll, with a 250 copper pulling a mag MS Shelly stack. Lots of baits balls, no other takers. Marks 35 to 155 down most areas. More bugs, cover up or be eaten. I was hoping to make my Holland two fish limit, but I failed. Sent from my Z5156CC using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app

  21. Nice job as it's been tough lately. The king and the steelhead both look like planted fish.
  22. Thanks for the report. Hope the fish show back up on the south end.
  23. Nice catch with that late start missing prime time!
  24. We trolled from 7:30 to 11, the fog kept us from getting out earlier. We started at 100 ft, went out to 180, but spent most of our time in the 150's. We ended up 3 for 3 with a 4# steelhead, 19# king, and a 5# laker. All the fish came right around 153 ft. Here's what took the hits: 2 - mixed veggies spindoctor with a SpongeBob meat rig on 300 copper (steelhead and king) 1 - blue veggies spindoctor with a chartreuse bloody nose fly on a downrigger 105 ft down (laker) Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
