WINDY!...WINDY!....WINDY!!!
Forecast off by 3ft.  Had very choppy waves, spun my boat around twice in the turns. Current varied alot straight run went from .8 to 3.5 mph when originally 2.4 speed was set.
 
Fished solo, 5:15am-8:am, staying close to shore because of the wave action. Trolled 55-65fow, 1 for 3, 8.8# king again was my only prize today. Lost big hookup in a turn trying to bring another one  in. Third was a fly by on rigger.
 
1-king 8.8#,  5:41am, 8C with bloody nose mag rv. N trl
 
9 color miss with wonderbread mag. (Heart breaker)
 
Blow by on rigger with flounder pdr.
 
No hits on high diver with dragon slayer & blue-green fly

Quit early, too hard to maintain balance while solo. Cleaning station report 90-115 fow was were better action was.

Never trust the forecast or the buoy 100%. The lake has a mind of its own. I've been out many times where the forecast showed 1ft or less, the buoy showed around 1, and then I got out there and the lake has a hard 3ft chop.

That being said, nice job in the rough waters, at least not skunked! I'll be out tonight hopefully. Thanks for the report!

Hopefully, it will settle down for the evening crowd since I took all the wind out of it today!

Went out for a pleasure boat ride with family late morning. Talked to two boats coming in that both had good luck in 90 FOW. Just like you said Ed.
