Dutch mafia Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Pretty slow morning with scattered fish. Started in 50 fow north caught one king on 100 ws Rasta goose gold . Worked out to 70 fow caught one king that hit a free sliding ms pox with the main down 40 . Interestingly we watched this fish come off bottom past a rigger running down there to hit the slider. Marked more fish out in 70 . I figured a slow report is better than no report. Anybody got any tips and tricks for coaxing negative fish laying on bottom into biting? Aaron Nusbaum Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Low and slow. Fish glued to the bottom tend to be lazy so get your riggers within a couple feet of the bottom (I don't like scrapping bottom) and drag socks if you have them. It's not a guarantee because sometimes they're just not feeding but it's worked for me before Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
jdh Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Low and slow... Or I often swap in smaller spoons (superslims) and FAST. 3.5-4 mph.
