Holland - 07/25/2013 - Night Trip

Well, we looked at the weekend forecast and didn't think it would be fishable so we decided to pull a school night trip.

Left the dock at maybe 5:00 and since the water was cold inside we decided to start in about 50fow.

Seemed like a great idea as we were on fish within 30 minutes...just no size, but it was still a great night on the water.

Managed 8 total missing a few so 8 for 10 maybe. One laker, Nice 10lb 14oz steelhead and the rest kings, but biggest was probably 9 pounds and most of the rest were grillers.

Ran 3 color, 100 and 200 coppers, riggers down 30 and 45 didn't take a sniff, dipsey with yellow 8" paddle and yellow fly caught the laker on a turn when it dipped to the bottom.

Stayed between 50 and 65fow all night.

All in all a great night on the lake before the storm that is due today.

Fish and saved on gas ! Thanks for the report! Won't be on water until Tuesday we' see what she does before then! Supose to stay chilly so I expect the same, fish in shallow!

Mark -about you were who I was chatting with on 68 last night. Finally got a fish in 55. Marked a ton but just wouldn't take my offering.
