Holland - 5-21 am - FINALLY - shake down

Recommended Posts

HOLY COW.

Finally got the boat running good and went out for a shake down trip with my father, Les, and Ryan. Left the dock at about 6 (lazy I know).

Dropped in at about 60fow in south by the sliders. Missed the very first fish at 85fow on a rigger with a glow frog about 40 down. I, that's right, me, the captain missed the very first fish. Got off trying to muscle him in at the back of the boat. We each landed a fish to finish 4 for 5. Three hos and one king. Nothing bigger than 6 pounds or so.

No real pattern.

One on blue veggie on 5 color.

One on three color with mod carmel dolphiln.

One on dipsey on 1 - 100 back with normal ring, 8" protroll and fly.

One another on 5 color with ???.

Trolled out to 180fow and back in to about 130 before we pulled lines.

Always awesome to get out on the water with my father.

I cherish it every time.

Thanks for the help Phil.

Donnie,

Ended up needing a valve job so we had the motor in about 50 peices last weekend.

Put it back together (after the valve work) and runs like a champ.

No more putting people in the cuddy to get up on the water.

So, new valves (or redone), new intake, new carb, new water/fuel seperator, new plugs, you get the idea, oh and oil change . . . .

Can someone remind me of the definition of BOAT again?????
