Set up in 75', north of pier at daylight, then for curiosity sake, zigzagged all the way to 200', never took a hit. Came back to 115, took a decent coho on a dipsey with NBK, 5# king, shaker king on full core with IDR (I don't remember).

There were two packs fishing for perch, one north of the creek, one south. Didn't look like much happening in the pack north, didn't go down to the other. Did mark some fish as we went through.

North of the creek might be good early like this, but usually is just a good place to catch gobies, in my experience. Kinda funny to see the pack set up there every morning, then start to thin out as people figure out that the bent rod they saw was a gobie.

Going to try them tomorrow. (The perch, not the gobies!)

A nice easy day. Slept in, bought 2 dozen minnows, said we would fish 'til they were gone. Heard rumors earlier in the week of limits in 60 fow, off the first dune, but we didn't see them. There was a serious scum line in that area.

Went back to gobie town, managed to bring home 33 nice eaters, nothing huge, between feeding the gobies. Eggs were still pretty tight in the females, hopefully they'll get done soon and move south.

A great day, considering we don't usually fish them seriously for another 3-4 weeks.
