Storm Warning II
This dandy was taken by Vision Quest Sportfishing Charters (www.dreamsteelie.com) out of Erie, PA this past Sunday. Where did this thing come from???? The Capt. told me it darned near wrecked the entire walleye/steelie spread he had out. It played limp wrist until the last 75 feet from the boat before it went NUTS.
Priority1
WTG on the Erie King. Yes those Kings do get boat shy especially when the come in green.
EdB
Wow, I'm sure his tackle wasn't rigged for that fish. The angler must have done a great job on the rods, especially if he got into the rest of the spread.
Adam Bomb
Damn nice fish....That had to be a blast on walleye gear!!!
Storm Warning II
We all basically fish salmon gear on the east end of Erie. Braid divers, wire divers, lead core, and riggers. I know most all of my gear does double duty.

Storm Warning II
Believe it or not, he said it just popped off the rigger like a walleye. It never took drag till it saw the boat...
Long Lines
Didn't realize there were king salmon in Erie. Are they wandering in from Ontario or Huron or being planted there in New York (Erie) tribs?

melsell
Buy we landed two in one trip last year. We were fishing off of Wheatley , Ontario. They were also much smaller fish than that.
