lead core in 10, 12, and 15 colors did very but the wire divers where a very close second my normal setup was 2 riggers 6 cores and 2 to 4 divers depending on the crew size

well the boardom has set in , with only boarder line safe ice around here ,and a bad deer season , and most of the honey dew list aready done "FOR NOW", i decided to take a little boat ride down the river to see if i could find some steelhead on this nice 43degree dec. afternoon and i did i fished solo from 11 to 2:30 pulling plugs below m-89 and ened up 1 for 2 with a nice 9 lb male for the smoker not red hot ,but it beat sitting in the house, also i seen 3 muture bald eagle to day sitting in the top of one of the big pine on top of a big sand slide {this only sucks becouse i left the cam. at home} the plugs that worked where a pink and gold hot and tot and also the old stand by , gold black top and with red bill both 1/4 oz

hey randy, witch lks. around here are safe, ive not heard of any one out as of yet , other than the chanels on gunlk. ,and a fraind from work fell through there yeasteday morening

many of the lakes in allegan and ottawa co. are still open or just skimmed my father inlaw lives near luther {north of baldwin } and said that there was no safe ice as of thanks giveing day p.s he is a dardevel {260lbs and 6 ft 4" and wiil go out on 2 to 3 " }

ive been running 15 lb maxima on all my rigger rods and lead core leaders for close to 10 years, and i think i can count all the break offs ive had since ive been yousing it on both hands

i also yous 30 lb. fireline and the only problems with breaking was with a bad tip on the rod that was cuting the line as i was trolling

this may be a dumb question , but here it gos ive been wanting to fish for whites for a while and dont now what to use, ive heard of people using spoons and bait, such as single egg spawn or wax worms what type of spoons do you use, ive heard of using hopkins spoons and pimples and kastmasters , also is it a cast and retrive or cast and jig and for bait fishing how do you rigg and what type of line do ya run any info will be appreciated thanks

well how did every one do this past weekend with the gun opener in michigan i tried to hunt saterday ,and with the loss of most of my private land to hunt ,do to out of state leases and farms getting sold , i was forced to hunt public land NOT MY FIRST CHOICE i live in the heart of the allegan state game area and now it very well , but could not find a place that i felt safe hunting do to the large number of hunters, i never got out of the truck till 7:45 am and only seen 2 small does and 9 hunters all day , sunday i did not go and sleeped in out of frustration ,tonite most of the people where gone and the big camps left for parts unnone and i had 1 deer 30 yards behind me but could not see it becouse of all the snow in the pines sorry for the ranting ,so how did every one else do:cool:
