  1. j-9 rapela in black and silver or fire tiger ,or a bumble bee stinger, it is a toss up between the three i cought browns up to 11 lbs on the rapelas but my personal best is a 17.9 lb'er on the bumble bee stinger
  2. yup that was a good man with some cool storys , when i was first out of hi school i worked for about 5 years is a roofer and we always listend to him at lunch every day

  4. the snow is gone in the open areas but in the woods or where there is some shade there is about 8 to 10 inches here
  5. hey jim, a friend that i want to hi school with speeks of rideing in MAY , but i remember a year not that long ago {with in the last 15}that i fished the big pond every month of the year:D
  6. ya i here ya andy, i went ice fishing yesterday and nearly got stuck in the white crap that was in the road trying to get to the lake
  7. hey don , i did this a few years back, my wife picked up a fishing log at gander mt. for like 5 or 6 dollers as a stocking stuffer at x-mas time it has all the things in it like time of day , date , weather wind directoin and speed , port ,people on the crew, water temp,lures and presitations for the day and so on ,i beleive it helps out greatly i just keep it in the boat so i can look throught it on tough days to refresh my memorie to get thing going but a spread sheet sounds like a good idea also and yes there is nothing wrong with compititoin:thumb:

  11. i run a mix of 8 and 11's ,but normaly , i run 4's and 8's from april to june and then 8's and 11's from june thru oct and the 8's are on the hi side and the larger one are the deeper ones

  16. i was up to muskegon yesterday and the only way you could see open water was with a good pair of binocs. also i heard on the news a week or two ago that the ice was out close to 10 miles off of holland
  17. 18 is all that ive ever used , with a leader of 15lb maxima , but in july and aug. i bump the leader up to 17 .

  23. my first trip was with my dad out of sagotuck when i was 8 years old in 1979 and have been fishing there every year since
  24. we had another good day sea-mac , rdfishin , plumkrazy , adam aka BIG FISH KILLER , and myself hit the ice today around 10:30 and fished till around 2:30 and ended up with 100 gills, give or take a few in the 7 to 9 inch range , same place , same jig and same presintatoin as yesterday thanks for comeing along guys it was a great time with laugh's to be had by all by the way , im still wondering about roger fertilizing hole,s what was that all about
  25. nice job , but it still looks cold ,becouse those fish are froze solid in 2 hours or less
