  1. Ok folks I need some help. Trying to upgrade the service from 60 am to 100 amp on both apartments. The mast goes down into a double meter socket, what size and type of wire must be used from the weather head to the meter box? I have been told aluminum will work and then I am told it has to be copper, witch is right and what size do I need. Thanks
  2. So that's what that 3 alarm fire was in Maple Rapids, they were just puttig out Larry's cake.
  3. Take it easy on Rich, he has never figured out how to read a compass.
  4. Congrates to Team Dirty Dog on the First Place finish. Alex glad you made it back to port. Six Shooter and Bev gave up the weigh in to rescue Alex and tow him in, what a stand up couple, way to go.
  5. You were lucky to get it back. Tite-Loc makes a good holder for the money. Own the higher end Bert's would be a good choice. One thing with the Tite Loc, get the screw in pins, heard the pull pins break to often.
  6. Headed up in the morning. We are on lot 1 at Insta Launch. Hopefully Matt(bluedevil) will be there to fish Friday morning. Got to to due a little prefishing to make sure we wupp arse on everyone Saturday morning.
  7. If you plan on running dipsey rods don't skimp on the holder. There is to much pressure and plastic holders do and will break. Kiss the rod, reel and all goodby.
  8. Thanks for the info fellas. They are in pretty good shape with 4foot booms other than the counters and the knobs to hold the spools on, they put regular nuts on them so they could put a wrench on to tighten. They used them on Lake Superiour for lake trout fishing. Instead of a pole the put a meat rig right on the cannon ball and bounce bottom with it, when the laker hits they just drag him in. Well they don't like the idea that it burns up motors hooking bottom and draging in fish, claimed it cost to much to fix. That was the reason he wanted the manuals.
  9. Anybody have a link for a place to buy parts for Walker electric downriggers? Picked up a set(2) of them yesterday and need to replace counters and springs and the knob that holds the spool on. I went to the Walker web site but didn't find a link for parts. The guy wanted manuals instead of electrics so I swapped him an old set of Cannon Duo-Cranks even up for the electrics, seemed like a good deal to me.
  10. The age to gun hunt was lowered to 12, but on private land only. Didn't hear about the age change for archery.
  11. Come on wimpy you can do it. Good luck to the boats that do go, looked at the forcast and it's not looking to promising.
  12. A few years ago the charter captian we went with would attach it to the lead core with a rubber band about in the middle of the lead, about 5 colors out put on weight and let out last 5 colors. When you got a fish on it was simle to just jerk the weight and break the rubber band and keep on reeling.
  13. Well I did a whole turkey and it turned out great. Figured out real fast that the temp gauge in the smoker was way off, way to hot. Put an oven thermometer on the self next to the bird and it was reading 350 degrees when the smoker was saying ideal. Used the oven thermometer from then on and it worked great. Cooked it at 225 +- for about 7 and a half hours, internal temp was 185. Good eating for sure and the cold turkey sandwitches are yummy. Tomorrow it's time to try some fish.
  14. Rich I found this on Garmin.com Not sure it will help ya. Q. What do I do when my unit displays a "Low Memory Battery" message? A. If you have a cigarette lighter adapter cable or a power data cable, plug the unit into a power source for three days (car, boat, etc.) to recharge the internal memory battery. If you do not have one of these cables, place a fresh set of AA batteries in the unit and leave the unit powered off for approximately five days. Once the internal memory battery is recharged, the "Low Memory Battery" message should no longer be displayed. If the message persists, you will need to return the GPS unit to Garmin so the internal memory battery can be replaced. If this is the case, please send us a Technical Support e-mail . A Return Material Authorization (RMA) will be set up and returned to you via e-mail, along with shipping instructions. The RMA number will ensure accurate tracking and prompt return of the unit to you. If you own an 8-channel GPS receiver unit, a marine GPS unit or chartplotter, or an aviation handheld, your unit has a non-rechargeable memory battery. You will also need to send your unit to Garmin for replacement under our flat-rate repair program. In this case, please e-mail Garmin using the above link or call Garmin Product Support at 1-800-800-1020 to arrange for an RMA number to be issued for the return of your unit. As memory technology has advanced, many Garmin GPS units (starting in 2000) no longer require a memory battery to support user data.
  15. Nice going on the fishes Nick and Larry. Ed Stell is a good guy to fish with, we fished with him for a few years and it was always a good time.
  16. Mike Way back when you first asked about having it I thought I could make it, things changed and I can't make it. The post about disregaurd was a post I made in the wrong thread so I deleated the text.
  17. Hang on there fellas, I haven't vollentered for anything because I am not even going to be there. Not sure where Caz came up with that in the first place.
  18. Nick If you go south about 3 miles you will find the Herring Hole. It has deep water that comes close to shore and is always a good spot to try.
