  1. Nice meeting you at the way in Spoonfed. Glad to see the fish are still biting, hope to make it back again before they head back to Ohio waters.
  2. Another great time. Fished with Tom(TGAFish) and his freind Tim and we were offf the water by 11:30. We figured the fish would be a little deeper,we were wrong and ran back up by the point in 19 feet of water and proceeded to catch a 3 man limit. Great time as usual and thanks Tom for the ride.
  3. According to Michigan Law a Charter boat can not take out more than 6 people unless they are running a steel hull. This was what I was told by a charter captian a few years ago. I don't think you will find any charter boats going after walleyes in that type of boat but a perch boat should be easy to find.
  4. Any time Rick, any time. Had a great time, and if we do it again ya have to bring uncle Jim along to keep the sheep head occupied.
  5. Mike They ended up on the dinner plate:D Mighty tasty too. "What took you so long we had our limit in 1.5" Larry we had to catch 5 more than you.
  6. Fished Friday 6/09 wth Rick(catfishoge) and his uncle Jim out od Sterling. We boxed a 3 man limit of 16 to 18 inch eyes in 2.5 hours. Everything was taken drifting crawler harnesess with bottom bouncers. Started in about 20 feet of water just off the point by Fermi and ended up in 23 feet of water. The best color of the day was a brown/tan blade with a small dot on it,copper also did well. A big thanks to Rick for the ride, had a great time. Sorry but had to had to wait till after the tourney to post a report.
  7. Hit Duck Lake 6-6 with my brother in search of the big gills. Never got into the 10+ inchers but did end up bring home 18 ranging from 7 to 9 1/2 and my brother took home 12 in the same size range with 1 perch about 12 inches. Caught 1 large mouth that went about 3 1/2 punds and released it. Most fish were caught in 6 to 8 feet of water on half a crawler below a bobber and a few caught drifting right on bottom. The females still looked like the were a week or so from spawning, no real plumpers as far as eggs.
  8. another great day on the water even though the fish didn't want to play. The June bite is always tough but there is always next time. Thanks for taking me along Rick and nice seeing ya again Justin. Thanks to Rich and Larry for putting these events together.
  9. Nice going Matt. Larry i heard the Toy Box was on the disabled list. At least nothing went through the block but it sucks being without a boat this time of year.
  10. THANKS Rich but I think EdB deserves it more than I do. I got lucky, Ed knows what he is doing and proved it.
  11. Another great day on the water. i think maybe we have been around Larry (Ratcity Hooker) to long with the farming going on but that just leaves more for the next trip. Only thing would have been better is if I didn't have to come home and go to work. It would have been a great day to stay out there all day with no waves and the sun shine and good company, just don't get any better. Well maybe if a couple of the bikinis we saw on the peir would have been in the boat it would have been nicer to look at then you guys but ....... :D
  12. Nice job Rich. Where are the pics? LOL. Looks like the fishing was a little better further north, I went out with Wayne(Midway) and Steve Arend out St Joe and the fish were really scattered.
  13. If I am not mistaken Levi was also on board.
  14. Looks like a Steve Arend original to me.
  15. Looks like I will be there crewing for Wayne(Midway).
  16. If I can catch a ride crewing for someone I will be there.
  17. I hope they lock them up and throw the key away and feed them nothing but carp 3 meals a day.
  18. My guess would be Frankfort and the Harring Hole about 3 miles south of the peirs.
  19. "They did super at everything, well except for maybe one net job. They did get the fish but they played "knock it around" for a while first!" Hay we were just making sure the fish was wore out before bringing it in the boat. Thanks for the ride Rick, any time you need a crew just give me a yell. Thanks to Rich and Larry for putting these events together, allways a good time.
  20. I think it might be Chicken Pox
  21. Tahnks GLF. Caz if you ask my wife she would tell you the one with the beard
  22. Well I finally managed to bag my bird today. This is my third year tring to bag a tom and everthing finaly came together. Couldn't get out early this morning and almost decided not to go at all. About 11:30 I took a drive out to 7 acres I own and took a stroll to the back of the property, hoping to catch some bird in te hay feild across the fence. Well I got to the back of my property, corner of the woods and small feild and hit the box call a couple times not expecting a reply. Havent had a bird answer sence the season started on Monday, they would gobble on the rost but as soon as fly down they would shut up and not answer. To my suprise a tom gobbled right back at me from about 150 yards south of me. I went about 30 yards into the woods and set up figuring he would be across the fence in the hay feild. Sure enough after about 20 min. of gobbleing and me answering him he finally came into view in the hay feild. I watched him fan and figured with a nice even tail he wasn't a jake and the rush was really on. At 35 yards I put the bead on his head and lights out. He went 20lbs, 8 inch beard and 3/4 inch spurs. Not the biggest bird in the woods but I was sure happy.
  23. Congrate on the nice bird Rich. He didn't come from your lease did he? My season starts Monday, hope to find some birds to chase.
