  1. Fun in the mud, tons of bait, and big Kings. 25 to 50 fow we went 8 for 12 out of GH from 4-9 pm Friday. We ran 2 riggers 12 & 15 down, 2 coppers 75 ft. Hit fish on double orange crush, jagger bomb, and Jawbreaker spoons. All nice Kings 10 to 19 lbs. Sat. am same story same spoons in tight only fished 2 hours, went 5 for 8. Had two fish 15 & 18 lb. Kings break off one of the 75 coppers, chased the boards down and actually were able to grab the boards and hand lined both fish in - what a zoo copper all over the bottom of the boat and then we hit a double, good thing we were a little north and no one was near us. It has been a great Spring in GH, if you have a boat get out, it has been some of the best fishing we have had - my buddy and I have landed 81 fish in 7 trips, It's hard to go to work when the fishing is this good !!!
  2. Started in 160 out to 200, best was 170-180 still. Went 8 for 11, one Coho and 7 Kings - 6 to 18 lbs. Fished 3:30 to 8 pm 2 on 225 copper - freakin veggie stinger 2 on 600 copper - bloody nose Moonshine 3 on rigger 125 down - white glow 11" paddle with white uv fly 1 on rigger 105 down - mixed veggie Great fishing this Spring - will be some big Kings this Fall.
  3. Yes it makes the 450 a piece of cake to bring in. It does catch fish and we only run it when we are away from any boats. My buddy had an arm that looked like Popeyes yesterday when he brought in the 6 fish on the 450 & 600 as I laughed and netted. (It was his idea to run it). We had a couple 12 & 15 # Kings on it that almost ripped it out of the rod holder - you feel every move the fish makes with the copper and only 25 ft of leader.

  8. We have been doing really well on 300 & 450 copper in Grand Haven, I just stay away from other boats with the 450 out. It catches fish, comes in easier than lead, you can feel the fish, my 3rd rigger. Before long you will want a 600 copper and the wire dipsey. $$$
  9. Great day out of GH today. Water temps 39-42. Fished from 7:30am-12:30 & started at 150 out to 220, best was 180ft just North of GH. Trolled SW and NE & ended up 15 for 20, - 10 Kings, 1 Brown, 3 Coho, & 1 Laker, we kept 10 fish today. All rods went off today both riggers at 100 & 125 ft. - 75, 225, & (2) 300 coppers. When we got away from the other boats we pulled the 75 and one of the 300 coppers and put a 450 & 600 copper down caught 2 fish on each 12-15 lb Kings down deep. Lures were double orange crush on 75 cooper, riggers - 11" white/blue paddle blue bubble glow fly & 11" glow paddle white uv fly. Other cooper rods were Moonshine Flounder Pounder, Moonshine Bloody nose, and a Stinger Alewife. We have had some great fishing out of GH the last 3 weeks.
