  1. I drove by them 7:30pm sunday and they were closed again. Not sure what was going on? If you were parked there last night, your boat would still be there this morning. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  2. It's called "Fruit Cocktail" and a very nice catch. Good report! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  3. I have been cleaning them at home. The holland dnr station has the gates closed for parking and I suspect they won't open them and the station until the 15th. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  4. Great report with a good story. Sounds like you have a very good partner also. It was chilly though! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  5. Great first trip, hopefully one of many. Glad the boat ran well also. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  6. 2/2, both laketrout, one 11.53# other 2.46#. Big one bent swivel, unhooking it just as I netted him. Both were males. 1st one on 4C with green clown, north troll, 2.6sog, 26.8 fow. 2nd one on DR with carmel dolphin, down 24, south troll, 2.5 sog, temp 38.4 in 27fow. Lake was flat, but had strong east wind which was chilling. Harbor was 46degrees, entrance was 40, open lake 37-38 degrees. Had marks, but no hits on way out of harbor. 7. What kind of fish were they? Picture not showing up in app. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  9. I was marking alot fish in the harbor, but didn't get a hit as I went thru it. Another guy I meant at the launch, said he and his buddy limited out the day before just by going in and out of the harbor. But today he didn't get any but did have two releases in the harbor. He fished in the AM, by himself. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  10. Meant forum member "halfpint" at launch, when we were launching. 1/3 north of harbor, started with 2-3 seas and were turning 3-4s when I left. Temp 46.4 in harbor, 39 on lake. Two releases on boards with 3C and 4C, purple clown, last one spit hook out 10 feet from boat. Big catch of the day was 9# brown trout on 4C with green clown, north troll, 2.5 sog in 19fow, north of harbor, temp 39 degrees.
  11. FYI, Pigeon lake being a type F lake, looks like you can keep any trout which is in season, but must be at least 10", same for Macatawa. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  12. Only got out for a couple of hours. Caught 1 small brown (14") on way out of harbor (orange crush) and released it. Alot of them were in harbor. Steelhead came later south of harbor in (10') on (monkey puke, 2color) legal but barely, released it. Browns were gone in harbor when I came back in. 13. Both were browns. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  14. I meant you just as we were both leaving. Great job. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  15. 2/2, both browns, 2.75# and 2.93#. Both on 1 color with gold thinfish in 8 and 10 fow. One on north troll 2.5 sog and one on south troll 2.5 sog. No spoon bites. Both north of harbor. Water surface temp 36.6 to 37.3. Waves were from the SW, 3 foot rollers, pretty tightly spaced. Great day when I can finally figure this brown bite out.
  16. His stomach was empty. He was all laketrout. He was definitely on the hunt for his next meal, probably why he hit my spoon so hard. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  17. Went 1/2, both were laketrout, lost 2nd one, when he spit out the hook just before I could net him (8-10#) best guess. 1st one was 6.54# male. Fished around and north of bubbler. 1/1 on DR with, uv mix veggie, down 32ft, back 70ft, in 36 fow, north troll, 2.3 sog, temp was 36.9 degrees, no fishawk used today. 0/1 on adj 8c, adj for 4c on bigger laketrout with Christmas caramel spoon, north troll, 2.3 sog, again in 36 fow. Waves were 1/2 ft to 2ft lazy rollers, temp 36.9. Pulled thinfish and other crankbaits with no results.
  18. Great story! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  20. Stopped by PS at 4:30pm, launch looks great, no ice, no weeds. Watch the waves, they might be bigger than forecasted, enjoy the day. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  21. Unfortunately not. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  22. PS & HOLLAND launch update One launch is in at both places.
  23. I saw two trailers in the lot when I drove by today. What kind of boat were you in? Were you able to pull boards? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  24. That's great. I'm amazed considering the ice conditions. He must have got out early before the channel closed up. Nice catch! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  25. Stopped by both launches, Holland still has alot of ice on the lake. Channel fishing probably would work, but not so well with a boat. Port Sheldon had boats launching without ramps, several boats on Pigeon Lake which was open to Michigan, but once on the big lake your rod eyelets would freeze up and boards couldn't be pulled because of the thin ice still on the lake. You could get out but it was challenging with your equipment. Some that stayed at the channel were catching pike. Keep that warm weather coming, though the long range forecast might indicate some snow showing up again.
