I run my thunder sticks 6, behind my mini disc when trying to get over 20'. down.
Just run them with whatever cranks you want to use. I run my mini disc off of my walleye boards. and regular small dipsys off the boat.
-
How many rods are you tring to run?
I run 9 rods max
big jon mini disc, on boards. 3 per side deepest on the inside. If I have all the same depths on a side And I get a fish on the out side board I move that rd to the back of the boat put the tip in the water and reel as fast as they can to bring the fish up in the water. I have my boards set not to release.
Crank baits I run the same way but dont mix cranks and spoons on the same side.
Walker 82mm dipseys off the corners and down riggers with long leads 60+' and spoons.
Dr and the walkers have been working everytime out deep this year. My mini disc and cranks sem to be a little slow this year for me. And you will get tangles with a fish that can stay down that is all there is to it

I emailed them (fishlander) as he has them listed on his facebook page.

I am looking at upgrading from my old DT 2's.
I have a few questions for someone that has them or a Sponsor.
1.) Can I preprogram a depth for the ball to stop at automatically?
2.) Is the cannon link compatible with 5 series HB fishfinders?
3.) Does the Dt 5 have the jig function that the old ones do?
4.) How do you like them ?(please no product bashing) or plugging I am staying with cannons
Thanks Steve

So far my only experience with copper has been 2 300' setups that I got already spooled. I'm not sure what kind of copper they are but I will say that I don't see any reason to switch out the rest of my leadcore rods. Copper is a pain to run, much harder to work with than core IMO. Maybe I just have been runner the wrong kind of copper but for now I'm only running copper as very deep rods.
Your not alone. I ran a 150, 200, 250, 300. While i was in whitehall. Fished 5 days and. Only git 1 fish on a 250. Ill keep running them because i have them but tgey have not they havn t proven themselfs yet

I have only been in two tourneys.
I am still refining my stratagy. Right now im working on catching 5 fish on tourny to weigh.

Nice. I was up there all week and had a blast. Sat we were 2-8 from 6-830..
-
What test is everyone using?
I was using 20 lbs trilene xt and had 3 break offs.
Could my off shore pad style caused the break offs. They were to close to the pole to be the knots
-
Nice job. She looks like she had fun.
-
I had 3 break offs on the riggers last week. Where the fish hit and the line broke before i could get to them. After the first one i stripped 100' of line from all four poles but it happened 2 more times. 1 was screaming out drag and then nothing. They all broke off about halfway to the swival so i know it wasn't the knots.
It sounds like i am staying with mono.
I was using. 20lbs trilene xt..
NEW THREAD STARTED...

You had a nice box. I decided i an getting a smaller cooler so my two fish fills it up.
That was an awsome event way funner than i thought it was going to be. That commitee put on a great show and great sponsors.

that fire ring was sweet. Is this something you do on the side? My wife keeps telling me how ghetto our ring of cinder blocks is.....
Kevin
I pm'ed him about that ring earlier that was way cool. My wife said it made ours look like hoodish (Ghetto). LOL

Sweeet first fish...
We were out of whitehall all last week.
Our best depth in the am was 80-90 and 50-70 down on the riggers and 125&150 back on the divers..
Afternoon trips we started deep but didnt get a thing till we trolled back in to 90-80..
Also out if 48 fish last week only 1 came on a spoon. Everything else was on a11" white paddle and blue/green fly. And blue spin dr and blue fly.
-
We fished the DW of whitehall. We ended up 2-8. The very first fish of the day was able to get under or Dr cable over my wire diver and into my 250 copper before breaking off.
Other than losing 3 lures in 10 min it was great time.
every fish we had came on the blue tape spinny and blue Dw fly and the green spinny and green fly.
Both setups were 70 down on the rigger and 150 back on a wire diver. In 80 feet.
Dave and Kevin it was nice to meet you and be able to put a name with the faces. Hopefully Ill see you again at the Ramp. We'll be in Holland the end of August for 3 days of fishing

I think if i do switch i will be switching to a blacks or chaimbrlin release.
-
I was thinking of switching to fireline crystal.
Does anyone use any braid/superline on DR?
Also i use off shore pinch pad releases do you think it will hold these lines?
Thanks
-
I sent him a message on facebook see if he gets it
Looks like he on fishlander charters...

All this week iut if whitehall its been big blue and big white paddels.
As far as depth in manistee. In the am he probably want to set up on the shelf and troll back and forth over thr drop.
