Ended up with 8 in about 2 hours.

Biggest was 31" 10 lbs smallest was 23

Blue ice more minnow and black 4" worms tipped with minnows. Could have got our limut but fog started to rool in around 11

actually I found it outlandishly funny when my bud had to reel in the 450 last year 3 times cause I just wasn't going to do it. No I wasn't. if I don't have a buddy I don't use anything longer than 300. I run 45 morgan's cause it was on sale

We ran all over the river and ended up with six fish. I think by next weekend they'll be in. The fish we did catch were still real deep and wanted a slow jig. Was a nice day to run the river. Anyone that does decide to run around watch your chart as some spots in the Trenton channel are lees that 2' in mid river so stay in the channels

I had a buddy call me from the sis islands and they were getting them just off the reefs out there. We r heading out tomorrow

I test fired on of my gun flares this winter. It expired in 11'..

No flame and very little smoke so they all went in the trash. My hand helds did flare so they are in for back up.

Every year I try to add a new angle on my salmon fishing. This year Im going to try to run a few of the cut plugs.

Who here runs them?

do you retie a different hook on them? every youtube video says they do.

And what do you fill them with? I have seen everything from scent to stips to tuna.

I use 5200 and a stainless screw/bolt (round head) and a nylock nut

and on the flip side of that Frank... I cant wait to get out and trying to figure out best timing to launch out of Grindstone City. Should I target early or late April ??

Does anyone have any input/info on the status of the launch site there, given drop in water depth? I am concerned that without any dredging, wont be able to get from lake to the small marina there.

Ill stop by monday and see. But hunting this fall was shallow.

We were out of bolles harbor. Turns out we missed the fish. My buddy went out the the toledo light and went 7-10. We just did get deep enough but this rain should hopefully start them in the river.

Last night there was an air boat filled over and 2 people in the water CG air crew rescued 1 but the search was called off at midnight for the other man.. extremely sad news so late the season without a loss of life.
