  1. Ok this maybe the wrong place for this so fell free to move it if you would like. My 8 and 10 year old want to go perch fishing. Is there a good port or ports on the west side. I have yet to see good perch fishing here in a while. They dont need trophys they just want to hold their poles and catch fish. Thanks Steve
  2. The boat on the wall was a n aluminum cabin crusier. Possibly an islader or sylvan.
  3. It was crazy busy on the way in sat night. I saw a boat with no anchor light and the guy was flashing boats that were over taking him with a flash light. I tried to get the pic off my phone but can't, the boat on the rocks came really close to making it over. On the way in this morning the owners were tring to pry it off the rocks with 2x4's and back power. The boat was totally out of the water and the bow was above the wall.
  4. That is too cool. I always wanted to go to the rock but in 2 attempts we couldn't make the run. Nice fish
  5. I am glad that no one was seriously hurt When he hit the S wall in manistee Last night. We missed the actual accident but heard the boats hailing the CG about 10 min after we were in. Please becarefull at night I had 2 boatsd pass me with in 30' on the way in sat night. Just because my rig does 40 doesen't mean I do it at night. Steve

  7. Nice. Nothing beats watching kids get into fish. How come youdon't have a panfish count on you sig. Thats a good way to pad the numbers.
  8. I have my revived salmon rig a 23 donzi. The problem I have is the cash to haul it across the state a coulple of times a month. I am looking for some out door storage in the area. Thanks steve

  11. Man I feel like its february the way this post is going. Weather or not they cheated is up to the governing body. I was planning on fishing some of the bigger tourney's next year but now I think I will stick to outings and fun tourneys. And there a alot of good guys here that have helped me out way more than they had to And I for one thank them all. Steve
  12. I ran my 300 on churches walleye boards with the factory clips but I wraped the braided backing around the clip 2 times. It held great in 4 to 5 waves I just wish I could have caught a fish on it. Steve
  13. We took the slow ride out sat morning to and hooked up with 2 both on divers 150 back and 175 back. We were out saturday pm and got 2 on DRs 70 and 50 down over 110. On spoons 1 blue dolphinand 1 orange clown. Steve
  14. Thanks for putting this together we had a blast. It looks like we missed an awsome fish fry but we ended up having to come in early because of some beer induced sea sickness. So we had to hit the afternoon bite. I hope to catch up with you guys at the next outing. Steve

  16. Looking forward to a relaunch of our old salmon boat. It will be the first fishing trip on it in 6 years. We just took it out for a wet test yesterday and got everything going We should be all set to get tangled friday afternoon and saturday morning., good news was we didn't sink and the motor ran great. The bad news is I spent 8hrs yesterday trouble shooting eletrical problems with the nav lights and interior lights. It really sucked. I will see you guys FRIDAY:thumb: Steve

  20. I have a 300' and a 150' copper setups. On the attomic they say 300' is around 88', in my trollers book it says 40', And mosty charts I see have it around 70' All speeds are 2.5. I just need some direction on what is close. And is a 150' close to a full core Thanks STEVE
  21. I am heading to manistee this weekend and would like to target some chrome with at least 2 rods. What am I looking at using. I have a 150 copper will be my shallowest line. Do I need to add some short cores. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated Steve
