  1. Driving down to St Joe on Monday. First time down there. Looking forward to some tasty cold water Cohos and maybe some perch. Any tips? Any recommendations on a place for a fish dinner in the area?
  2. Berkley big game 20lb
  3. Blacks work great for me. Pinch pads not so good on a DR. Work fine on the Otter Boats.
  4. Not really a great date destination Kevin. Best fishing shop for a hundred miles though. If you can't find it, Don can point you the right direction down the miles of isles.
  5. I'm a little confused. If you have never ran it how did you catch fish on it the last 2 times out? Looks like a goldie hawn.
  6. A big thanks to whoever puts together these stories. Always something there of interest to me. Thanks again to the person who does this.
  7. WOW! That there is some major work. Triple the hours for a first timer.
  8. Thanks for your post. I have posted in years past about my October program with no response. Awesome fishing offshore in October. Many limits. I have given up posting reports on this great opportunity. Will be out the 3rd week of October weather permitting. Good luck to you.
  9. I have seen poor piloting by every kind of craft out there. Had some bad experiences with sailboats as well. If you have never done it , sailing can be a lot of fun. I used to fish out of Muskegon years ago and there was a guy with about a 30 footer that trolled with 4 downriggers and boards. With the right wind he trolled for free. He motor trolled as well. Please don't knock all sailboaters.
  10. Remember when you used to put a penny on a train track and it got all flattened out? Well, here's the secret and only you can read it. Everyone else has to log out now. Place a mag Flounder Pounder on the train track and presto! An 18" super super mag spoon. Your welcome.
  11. Thanks for the tip.I will try that next month.
  12. October/November fishing has been the best fishing ever for me over the years. What can be challenging is that 8-12 lb kings bite 90 down in 200 FOW with a slowwwww presentation. The Steelhead want a fast speed in the top 20 FOW. Cold water; very tasty fish. I am usually the only boat out there. Steels tend to be in 300+ FOW. If the weather is nice it can be the best trip you ever had.
  13. My fish. Winner of the derby.Waiting for my check. Sorry guys.
  14. Wow Ryan, I don't think I'll ever complain about a couple of lost lures again. I think you did come out ahead with the fish count though.
  15. Have you updated your resume? Bad idea giving your boss a 20lb sheepshead.
  16. Armstrongs has the best selection of stuff you have ever seen. Stuff is piled up and hard to find sometimes. Ask Don for help. He knows where everything is. No joke!
  17. Thanks for the reminder to keep my hands out of the net .
  18. Is that the right picture? That cannot be a 36lb salmon.
  19. Whether or not you have hydraulic steering will limit your choices.
  20. Otter boats for your 10 core and 2 core and 5 core and 7 core. And coppers. Catch my drift? Eliminates all those unattatching the boards, reeling high ,reeling low, board slid down to the fish problems.etc. Far superior system.
