  1. thanks frank, I do ok with fiberglass, and can cut the alum, and have resource for TIG. I'm thinking of build a wood top frame, then attaching 2" alum tube to that. the shell will be 1/8' plywood top and bottom, plan to fill the inner space with foam for sound. then glass the whole thing. what is going to be tricky is attaching to rocket launcher but I have a few ideas.
  2. on my last trip of the year it became a very long day for reasons I won't discuss here. anyway after being very tired we get the boat on the trailer and start heading home from Whitehall about midnight (we started in Muskegon at 6am). I forgot to take down the soft top. the next morning I look out at the boat and think where did the top go??? all I had left was a couple of the frame tubes. so, I'm thinking of adding a hardtop to the boat and hooking it into the rocket launcher that I built last winter. anybody else every do this? looking for ideas and suggestions.

  20. I have been removing mine every year, I pull the hyd arms, lift the out drive up, put a 3/4" steel rod in between the drive and the gimble ring and let the weight of the out drive push itself out, this work's very smooth with no binding.

  23. good stuff, I grew up on a pig farm, it was very cool to take the clipped tales from feeder pigs and tie them to our handle bars and ride around for days or until they had to many flies on them...
  24. the sub is not really within walking distance, this time of the year not much going on in that part of town, not sure if Muskegon even has a cab service around anymore. the downtown area is about 10 mins from where the ferry docks. down town has a couple hotels, and a few bars. you have to also know what parts of town to go. send a PM to Fishsniffer he lives in the Muskegon area, he may have a better Idea on things to do...
  25. very Cool Jimmy
