  1. Never saw anything on that big one that "Nick of Time?" had last Sat. Do you know any more? Very curious.
  2. I'm all for the sharing Jesus part. The reason I don't post everything like I used is because we have gotten bigger into tournament fishing. To do well in tournaments the No 1 thing everybody will tell you is you need a good network. We have been working hard on this and have some very good teams that are sharing info with us and some of them take it very serious and are Pro boats and they don't want to see that info showing up on line for their competitors to see. So just don't tell others that any thing good came from me. Last year DW came out with a new proto type spoon, I got one from a freind in my network. My son mentioned it in a post and the next day I got called out on it, because if his source saw that they would cut me off for sure. I will help any one I can but I have to be careful with info that gets shared with me. I'm sure you can understand. Anyway, lets go fishing together sometime. you sound like someone I like to meet. 3. I have never seen fishing stay so consistant like it has the last 3 weeks. Last night we went out of Holland, straight out turn south. Started in 85, did SW out to 125 and the screen lit up with bait, hooks, and TC, like I have never seen. It was like demo mode. We decided we were going to spin on that spot all night if we got out of them but it lasted from the sliders to Saugy. We went 9 for 12 between 7 and 8:00. ST was 71, 60 down was 68, and 70 down 52. A little after 8 the sun went behind a huge cloud bank and it shut down completely for about a half hour then slowly started up again. We ended up 12 for 20. 4 lakers, 1 steelhead, and7 kings. Wire divers back 250 have gone 29 times in the last 3 trips with 10" SD. Chute on the bottom(drop ball till it hits bring up 2') went 8 times with white paddle. I think we have had 7 double digit trips in a row. Only 4 boats out there last night and 1' swells. Couldn't get much closer to perfect.(except hook-up to land ratio).
  4. Good job Terry, but I was looking for a 30#er in your report today(and hoping). Today was crazy wasn't it. We crashed the waves from about 6 to 8:30 going 13 for 14 and then turned around figuring we could get 2 more heading back to PS. We got one in the next hour and decided to let a sick son in law off the hook without a limit. We had 5 lines in the water this moring and had a triple. There were a lot of boats by us complaining about it being slow this morning, we treid to give out help but we fished by ourselves most of the moring.
  5. Went 14 for 15 this morning. Mostly flies, south(rough) troll, 70+down. 95 to 115fow.
  6. That fog was unreal. In minutes we went from bright shinning moon to 20' visability with a spot light. We didn't see the peir lights till we were within 100 yards. 7 to 9 was good for us too 12 for 14, with only 2 more after 9.
  7. I think the one on the right is a moonshine "high energy"
  8. Mark, We lost one Sunday in the same area on a wire diver, the flasher came in without the fly, Maybe it was the same one? Good Job
  9. Got out with 2 of my boys to fish Sunday night, very special even though I get to fish with them all the time. Went 9 for 10 and even quite early. Had a 18# king and a 13# king and a 8.5 steelie and 2 smaller Lake trout. I dont want to sound like Jim Bobber but 5 fish were on JP Slammers and 5 on flies. 90 to 110fow 60+ down, going south.
  10. we fished out of Holland last night and went 7 for 7, with just 2 guys. Someone on the radio was fishing by us with 12 rods and it seems like they were kiillin them but some how they only ended up with 6. What I do know for sure is that we caught 4 on JP Slammers, 2 on flies and 1 on a regular spoon, and we probably could have done better if we hadn't dragged 2 shakers all night on 2 off the slammers. I, have no affiliation with with JP Slammers (except I used to be freinds with one off the owners) but if you haven't tried them you should because for us they always out perform everybodys elses spoons, especially on slow days. Glow Firedog, NBK, King Killer & Micheal Jackson are are 4 best. If you plan on fishing the amateur division Big Red, please disregard this post.

  16. Salmon Slayer I have your ticket. Do you fish over here at all??

  17. Tickets are avaliable at Pyles, Big Lake Outfitters, and Gold Coast. Should be at Fishin Hole tomarrow, and Fish on and Archers Angler early next week. Most of our rules were adapted from the LOC rules. Not sure of their reason for that one. I will take this to the commitee and try to get you an answer back as soon as possible.
  18. Salmon slayer, should have your free entry ticket this week for the contest. Will you be at S.H. tournament at all?

  19. one of the local tackle shops told me a lot on splake had been brought in. Never heard of them around here, and I checked the DNR web site and they haven't planted any in the last 10 years. So where did they come from??? And they don't spawn because they are a hybred.
  20. nice fish, did you weigh him. I'd like a 1/2 dozen like that for the SH tourny.
  21. here is my opinion for what its worth. I think there are 2 main groups of salmon in Lake Mi. One group winters as far south as possible in the warmest water they can find, the other winters out in the deep in the warmest water deep down. In the spring the first group starts a migration north as the water warms. They follow the coast usually in about 20 to 50 fow till they get back to their home waters and then spread out. Last year we were on these fish like never before. We caught 180 in the month of May. We were 3 weeks in St Joe, 2 weeks in South Haven, 1 week in Saug. 1 week in Holland, 1 week in Port Sheldon 1 week in GH and then they were past us headed to Ludington ans Manistee. This was from the beginning of April to the end of May. These fish averaged 10 to 12 pounds. Of course some stop and hang around each port on the way. Then we have our June slow down (Holl/PS area). About the 1st of July the second group starts getting restless and starts to come in to set up around the rivers they will eventuly spawn in and we start our late summer fishery. If you could get to the middle of the lake I think you could catch salmon all year round, and some do go there ocaasionally and do well. Also I think some of the 1st group head up the WI side and then cross over the lake in July/Aug. For sure the Coho do. If you watch the fishing reports down south its easy to see this progression most years. So yes there fish out deep, but the close in ones are on the way.
  22. I got him with a rage 125 grain 2 blade. He was a little above me and I went right through the thigh into the body cavity and punched out the ribs, at 70# didn't pass through and that bird ran 100 yards with a huge entry and exit wound.
  23. 25#, 9.5 beard, 1 1/4 spurs, 18 yards, 7:45
  24. pulling the boat out Tues. If all goes well we will probably be there.
