  1. You can mount the riggers right to the versaball mounts I wanted the board set up.
  2. here is the way I did mine on my Cierra. I am trying to remember the name of the bases I used. they are a ball type mount and narrow enough for the narrow back of the boat. Versa ball mounts. franks great outdoors has them. http://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/versa-ball.html
  3. walleye cheeks, fillets, fries and a breadstick. What walleye fishing is all about.
  4. i dont think so even vaccuum sealed i only let it set in the frige a couple weeks. In the freezer thats a different story like frank said
  5. Dad is doing really well we'll have to trade trips this summer. We would love to come up and fish with you. I might have to drag Evan along.
  6. Welcome aboard. If you want to learn do some ride alongs there is usually someone looking for people to fish.
  7. Saturday we got out a little late due to having to get the boat back in the water and all set up again. we headed out to a spot in the bay that produced good fish before in 18 ft of water before we had the third rod in the water we had our first eye in the box. reset that line and before i got the rod in the holder second fish on another walleye. then nothing for hours we tried fast slow high low spoons harnesses you name it. finally four hours later in front of stoney point we hooked one more. then as we were pulling lines we picked up our last fish for the day. ending with only four fish. Threw back about 50 silver bass. Evan my 6 year old made it the whole time out there but he didnt want to reel in fish. Sunday went out in front of fermy 24 ft hooked the first fish and Evan wanted to reel it in Walleye. his first one that he caught. then same thing nothing till just about time to pull lines and we hooked a second walleye. Lots of silvers again. Talked to a couple guys that cam in with limits and they were pulling cranks. We pulled spoons and crawler harnesses again. Also heard that the fishing was great out by the island so we stopped and got our OH licenses. Here is a pic of evans first walleye:

  13. Well someone was looking out for me. come to find out it was the zink ring behind the prop. the bolts came loose and the dragging thunking was the bolt hitting the inside the prop. It snapped on bolt head off and buggered up the threads but Johnsons was able to tap the holes again and put new bolts in lock tited them and test ran it this morning. Headed up in an hour to pick it up and back to Erie saturday morning.
  14. I like the offshore releases but i mainly use my mast system for walleye fishing. when i fish salmo i go to inline boards. If i were to use my mast system i have a bunch of the orange offshore heavy tension planer releases that i would use. i dont think the black have the holding strength for the heavy lines.
  15. Are you walleye or salmon fishing. what are you planning to pull coppers lead or mini discs jet divers?
  16. I set them on the holes for more action to the fly I tried the slow presentation and it just didn't seem to have enough movement on the fly. I am also using long leads and that makes a difference too.
  17. For everyone here that knew Capt. Jerry Lee. was notified this afternoon that he passed from his battle with lung cancer. Jerry was a very close family friend and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Cap.
  18. Oh by the way the silver bass were everywhere. probably hooked a good 25 plus sunday on spoons.
  19. this past weekend was a bummer Saturday we ended up not going Dad got sick and brother bailed last minute. sunday we trolled all day for one fish. we used cranks and spoons. the guys that did good were using crawlers and harness. water was 57 and we tried imitation crawlers but no go. needed to have meat I guess. also wasn't going slow enough guys that did good were doing .8 to 1 my slowest is 1.7. On the plus with the waves on sunday we gave the auto pilot a good work out and man that thing is awesome. In the slop we were trolling a nice straight line. Wish I hadn't waited so long to get it. Next weekend we pull the boat and get it to the Volvo shop so no fishing this coming weekend. What a waste of a three day weekend.
  20. After talking to the volvo guy it sounds like it is the upper gear set that went. I have to pull the boat saturday and take it in so they can look at it.
