  2. Went out with a couple guys from the other side if the state and my dad today. started in 60 ft on a sw troll didnt hit the first fish till 123. at 190 all hell broke loose we ended 14 for 26. We just couldnt keep the fish on today you would fight them for five minutes then slack line. What worked

wire diver mag back 225 and 250 white big paddle and arctic blast big weenie fly accounted for 7 fish and 11 hits

  3. I run three when we fish the islands on erie. I am not using riggers and tring to keep the lines close to the boat as there isn't enough room to run the big boards. If you are not running side riggers I run them on 0 11/2 and 3. all on braid. I am using standard sized walkers/slide divers. I use convector 30s and have them on the daiwa wilderness rods 8 8 1/2 and 10ft. I also use the wilderness rods as my leadcore rods for salmon. I don't think I would run a mag dipsy on them. For that I have taloras.

  4. My wife had one and with a stiff tailwind it would get 15. We watched the mileage and that was one deciding factor to not buy out the lease. In 4 wd during witer storms it would drop to 12-13 mpg. My GMC 1500 Z71 with the mid sized 8 gets better mileage than that thing did. It would two our pop up which is a bigger heavier pop up just fine.

  5. Copeyan Park in Ludington is great, can launch up to 50' yachts, fish cleaning/grinder/fish board/bathrooms. It does get busy, but not as busy as Loomis St. by the lighthouse. 15 minutes to pierheads/Lk. Mich. too. Tight lines.

This is the launch we use when we go up. May be a fifteen minute ride to the lake and you may have a couple boats in front of you but it beats an hour or better wait at loomis that they get at times.

  6. Check the Monroe area. I saw literally over a hundred different boats for sale at the marinas and on the sides of the road while fishing over there this past may and june. also check the port Clinton area lots of boats for sale in that area also.
