I used to wear those. They have gone downhill in their quality. Where the sides screw into the front breaks very easily now. I am no longer a fan & wouldn't recommend them. I still haven't found a decent replacement though. I want the same quality ones they made 2 years ago. Now the ones that they sell last 2-3 months if you're lucky.
i have been buying them right along and never had that issue at all. i just bought a pair back in oct when i left my scrip glasses at home and no issues at all with the sports.

Just called and got right through:

I use the cheap ($10.00) big wrap arounds. UV protection, fit over my glasses, and work well. Don,t think anyone makes them anymore, but I know a place that has all kinds of old and new fishing stuff. My fishing budget doesn't have room for designer fishing glasses.
Tom for fit overs go to walmart they have polarized uv protected fit overs for 18 bucks a pair. Every where else there like 30 bucks or better. They are by solar shield and my eye doc who fly fishes pointed the out to me. http://solarshield.com/sunglass.html I used the sport as they wrap around better and dont let the sun in till i bought prescription sunglasses last year for the first time. I used them for the last ten years or so and still keep three or four pairs on the boat in case someone forgets sunglasses.

i have a pair of liberty biker sunglasses for on the boat. being that i need prescription lenses these were the only wrap type sunglasses i could find. they are polarized and uv protective lenses and allow me tosee in the water really wellfor netting they have them at walmart in the vision center with non script lenses for about 80 bucks with the polarized uv lenses. With scrip lenses they were 121.

Lowrance has a deal on the weather module right now:

one thing i love with my hds is the sirius real time weather. it uses the ethernet connection if you ever think of getting the weather. It overlays on your gps gives you warnings when lightening is 25 15 and 10 miles out. Shows the storms and direction they are moving wind speed and how hard it is raining. Right now they show wave height on the ocean. That is a feature that they are going to be adding to the great lakes when sirius puts up their new satellite. the current satellite cant read the wave height on the great lakes. It also shows surface temps and breaks. I see they came out with the elite in broadband now which is the way you would want to go if going with the elite. the rms on a standard unit is about 600w where with broadband it is 250w = 30000w standard.

The City Boat Launch is located on Anchor's Court, on Marina Island. The daily fee is $5.00 per car/trailer and a season pass is available for $35.00. Season passes are available from the City Clerk's Office at City Hall.
go across the bridge from bh to st joe as soon as you go across the bridge it is the first road on the left. take that all the down to the marinas and you will see a sign for the city launch. you make a left to get to the launch just after the sign. Make sure you stay in the channel it gets shallow quick.

Nice job terry way to start the season.

Has anyone heard when the drx-40 is supposed to come out from depth raider, and what the price point will be. It looks almost exactly like my gmt 40 from the pics. hope they come in under the fish hawk tds price.

Hey guys, do you think if I sent mine to either one, that they would sew my seems up, the seems are starting to open up due to the threds are old and dry rotted, other wise the canvas is in good shape, the seem down the middle of the top, and the zippers are comming apart, I wish I could have a new one made, but here in the Poconos of PA. I can't find anyone who does such work, once I take it to Lake Ontario I will see if I can find someone to make me a new one, I will be in the Henderson Harbor area if someone knows anyone in that area that does that type of work, I will take it there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks PAP
Anns does that kind of work. I had my winter cover redone by them all the velcro replaced a few seams fixed and the corners where the windshield are reinforced as they were starting to go.
-
Anns does great work i have used them also. They were 50 bucks chepaer than the amish and had my work done in two days where i was quoted a week week and a half by the amish canvas people.

I had talked to the owner of morgans at the show a few year back it comes out of the same factory as opti copper does. Identical product different sticker. I personally like the opti/morgans. Is there a difference in memory i dont think so. I have been using it for about 8 years now. If i ever use up what i have in the basement i will probably buy the same stuff again.

I have a lowrance hds and love it. About two and a half years ago lowrance was bought out by Navico. Once Navico took over they revamped a lot and got rid of the trouble makers in the cust service area. they are the same cust service reps that handle the simrad products now as navico owns them also.

Fugly is all i can say. not to say how would you troll around those things.
-
Too much IMO, they tend to make my fish alittle crazy but they sure look cool.
What kind of uw lights have you used i was looking as the small coastal night lights in either blue or green.
-
I agree with what nailer posted. also mtn dew spinnies with pickled sunshine fly
-
outdoors man had the small fish hawk clip on for 109 at their spring sale i believe. and you can get a subtroll or depth raider for around 400. Thats substantially less. granted you have the coated cable. I am going on my third season with my subtroll and no issue yet with my cable. I know people complain about the cable.
AS far as what i spent on gear i agree with jim and am not getting to much stuff this season. Mostly some walleye stuff.
