First trip on the big lake this season. Started fishing in 60' of water about 6am. Missed a couple of bites on the downriggers in 80'. Fished from 80 to 100 or so for a while with no success. Talked to a friend who was going out to 200' so we followed. Started catching fish in 180' and went 5 for 7 over the next couple of hours. Got 3 on the 7 color on a bloody nose mag. One on a 10 color and one on a 5 color. Blue jeans and green jeans on those. Beautiful morning on the water with calm seas. All smaller fish from 5 to 7#. Good to finally get out. Looking forward to the season.
