tltorrice Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 Launched out of the Manistee City Launch around 1:30 in the afternoon. Headed streight out to the shelf to 130 fow. The waves were a little more than 1 foot or less as predicted. Wind out of the south. Trolled to the north and picked up a King 10 min after we set up. This guy hit one of Captain john Kings gold meat rigs Here is Lars giving him a work over. After a nice battle we finaly boated this nice fish. Here is a proud tired young man. The rest of the day we fished trolling to the north in the deeper water. Things were slow for a few hours. We ended up with 6 nice kings and 2 Coho. We had a few good tangles on the lead core. One of them we brought home to deal with. Meat rigs worked well today on the dipsy divers and lead core. Fish came on J-plug glow ghost, Stinger NBK, Dreamweaver purple frog, mixed veggie on the slider took a coho. We will be back at again on Sunday.
