  1. I should have a crew count me in as long as wind does not change.
  2. 18 foot lowe with a 70 horse and a 9.9 kicker 20-40 dollars depeding on run time. trolling 1-2 gallons every 5 to 6 hours.
  3. Maybe the sun is getting to me Ken.... Its very possible
  4. Small Craft advisories constitute a blow day. When did this change.. use to be anything more than 2 footers.... I thought...
  5. Website is back up.... Talked to Larry. Changed service providers.
  6. Phil was my good luck charm this morning... he calls on the raido. I tell him "it's slow" All of a sudden I double up!!
  7. Kevin, 2 GPS speeds said the same thing.... maybe your is broken or... I had to slow down most of the because people do not know how to fish in front of the piers and decide to go East to West.... all morning. or I was loosing fish
  8. Fished Sat and sunday boating 10 fish each day. Saturday AM Got out in the dark and got to be part of the Gong show and was wishing for no whamies! (For some of you older guys you know what I am talking about) Needless to say we had 25 fish on saturday morning and we spent the morning brining fish 3/4ths of the way to the boat and letting them go. Some nicer fish with 1 pushing 18 Made a quck trip out saturday to finish out our limit that we could not keep hooked in the morning and nnedless to say we put 2 more in the box, but did not finish the limit. We did however hit/hook something on the rigger that or had a weak spot or who knows... Ben set down the rigger it snapped off... Oh well time to put on new rigger cable anyway. Guess I could buy the 15 pound ball I have been wanting Sunday Am I fished with Diztortion from MS and we got out early hoping to steal a couple pre sunrise kings... Needless to say that did not happen and I had to put on the big boy pants and get to work grinding out fish. 5 hours later the 9th or 10 fish was in the boat and we could call it a day. The nitty gritty on the weekend fishing I am sure by now the cat is out of the bag that the bait has come into the piers. We played in the crowds and out meal ticket was as follows. Diver 3 35 feet back with a 007 BLL spoon Diver 3 35 feet back with a UV 8" SD with a Blue Green Dolphin teaser rig (a 3 pound brown hit this rig and we rail dumped another small brown on the same rig) Rigger 20 down 11 white glow Pro troll with a BWF mirage fly Rigger 15 down with a Mag SS Green/Yellow Dolphin or Double Trouble (Early) 2 color Moonshine Blue founder Pounder 1 color with a 3 OZ dive bomb BLL Blue Dolphin Mag or 007 (Early) Other things that worked Blue Green Frozen Frog from BLL SS Mag Green Kato Mixed Veggie SD with a BWF MTD. teaser rig Chrome Spin Doctor with a pull my finger vibrator fly by Big Weenie Running Hot was the ticket to get hits for me this weekend 3-3.3 SOG. Glow early and then Chrome when the sun came out. Dave Tip of the day for any of the new guys..... If your having trouble catching fish inside.... swing wide outside of the bait. We found a pod of our fish a quarter mile south of the pier heads and took 6 fish in a row. Guess I should have kept the rods lower because we got bum rushed by boats and those fish spooked and moved. Moral of the story.... if your fish shut down or they "Vanish" they did not go far..... Tip number two of the day... Some times the bait can be a bad thing!!! If your in the bait, and not getting hits ......fish the edges. speed up, slow down, put the boat in nutral, The kings ect are there enjoying the all you can eat menu. They get lazy and they are looking for an easy target.
  9. Nice Job... Limit catches= more fish to clean. Some of the best nights fishing with my wife are nights we did not catch at all.
  10. I am just happy to see they are at least listening to what we have to say.... Kudos to that..
  11. Heard from a reliable source.. a boat did go down and they found the guy in the water. Safe... 1 boat responded from what I have heard.... GUYS WE NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER....
  12. Nice Job... I fished that morning with the same program and could only get the little guys... All my fish also had FRESH bait in that range
  13. I can do that Wend morning. I will have to dig them out of the boat, and I have my Trig midterm TM night so I have nothing but studing and work in my future till then.
  14. I did this before I had my boat. Trolled round the piers during combat season.... Nothing like getting towed by a 15 pound king!
  15. ‎9-13 or 14... Something like that.... I could not get the bigger fish going!! Big white paddle and Green white Blue water fly 130 down on the rigger Big White paddle with Porctologist BW fly 100 down on the rigger 8" white pro troll with Proctologist BW fly 200 back on the mag diver UV Clear 8" SD with a Blue water teaser Blue Dolphin 220 back on the diver (until a monster king stole it and the flasher) Blue Kato Big Lake Lure 300 45 pound copper Trolled W from 100-180. Could not keep the coho away. From talking to friends the bigger fish were 140-160 ... outside of 160 COHO;( As for the flasher fly I lost... dang fish broke 50 pound mono even with a snubber.... Possibly the most Violent hit I have ever seen. Loose drag and all I never had a chance to get it out of the diver holder Truley if you have not tried the UV SD and teaser rigs, do it!!! you will see some of the most vilolent hits ever!!!
  16. I have had a few PM's about teaser rigs.... And I figued I would post my thoughts on them that I sent to someone else. Do I belive they work.... I know they work.... , do I believe they work better than single flies..... Maybe.... Do I think I catch more fish on teasers than on singles.... YES!!! Does this mean you should go out and invest in them... that is up to you. I am the first to admit, that my long lines are my bread and butter. I use the riggers and divers to fill the box (Trout) 90% of the time. In saying this... Trout like the BLING!!! So see above statement about teaser rigs. Trout also love Brads cut plugs BTW:) Normally you will not see me run spoons on the riggers unless I am inside 70 fow or if I am on a "bite". Example: Ben Lubbs calls me and tells me he is popping fish on stacked lemon ice on the bottom. The exeption to this is if I am trying a new spoon, or running an SWR on the deep rigger. My Inside 4 rods are dedicated to "Bling" flasher teaser rigs, Tin cans fish flashes ect. Riggers are generally the teaser rods with longer leads and the divers are tin cans or 10" spinnies. (Blue silver green silver ect) This changes a bit when I am fishing the Clay for lakers and you will see more Tin cans and Brads cut plugs.
  17. I know we have alot of guys out of Holland on this board... The launch lot was almost full this morning. 10-15 boats out for being a wed. Fishing was good for most from what I heard via text. Dave
