  2. I'm going to AuGres in the morning to give it a try. Frank if you're out give me a shout I'll have the radio on "Final Episode".
  3. I don't blame you there. We've had quite the wind so far this spring. It is nice to be able to sit back and pick your day to fish though. One of these days I'll be able to retire if GM will let me:confused:. Tom
  4. Those are some nice fish Frank. This is my last week of lay off and I'm going to try to get out a couple more times this week. I'll post with pictures if we get out. Tom
  5. Wow Adam I didn't notice that before, that thing brings back some memories.
  6. We had program as Frank we should have been limited early but we missed several fish. The boy and me ended up with 9,one throw back and a huge catfish. We fished north of the pack and blue and pink with a rainbow blade and blue and pink with a chrome blade were our better colors. Seems like some nicer fish this year so far.
  7. Didn't make it out, NE wind blowing right down the chute made to rough for me.
  8. It'll be kinda busy this weekend I think there are two tournys fishing the Bay this weekend. So follow the boats, harnesses and bottom bouncers are the ticket right now and the colors last week were pinks, purples, blue and pink and the usual chartruese. Good luck if you're out on Friday give me a shout on the radio channel 67 or 68 "Final Episode". Tom
  9. Looks like Friday is the nicest day to be out so I'm planning on trying the bay again. I'll post and make sure I bring the camera if we are lucky enough to get into them.
  10. Gotta love the Sea Ray. I had one and wonder why I sold it, it was comfortable and lotsa fishing room.
  11. Good job Frank I heard you on the radio this morning but knew I was to far away to talk to you. It seemed like when the wind came up this morning the fish stopped and wouldn't you know it a east wind. Same thing happened to me Monday when I was out, east wind fish stopped biting.
  12. Hey Frank I heard you on the radio this morning, but I knew I was to far away to talk to you.
  13. Was out there this morning too and we bought home 10. We were east of the plug in 18-20 fow. Couldn't keep the lines in the water and were busy with fish till 10:00 am then it was like some one turned them off. Thats also when the east wind started to blow also. We got them on 2 ounce bottom bouncers purple and chartreuse with copper blades were the hot colors for us. No pictures today because I forgot the camera.
  14. Heading out right now will post later today.
  15. Thanks everybody, my oldest can't wait to get out of school so he can join me on the water. I'm bummed about being laid off, but why not make the most of it and fishing is like hunting to me I get away from all the b-s and just relax. Frank I'm off till the end of the month if you want some company let me know and I'll drag Jason along too. Will post again when I get out. Tom
  16. My post is bc49boy. Just had to rant.
  17. I'm with Frank "Reel Cranky"
  18. Didn't have much to do today so I got the oil changed in the truck and decided to try the bay. I got my first line in the water at the crack of 11:30 am and had four fish in the boat by 12:45 pm. I had other fish on but couldn't get them in the boat. I was 4.25 mi north west of the mouth of the Saginaw River in 15.5-20 fow. All came on harnesses and bottom bouncers. Fire Tiger, bright green with green blades, and a purple, chartruese, and white blade with chartruese beads on 1 ounce and 2 ounces bbs. It was a nice day on the water I just couldn't close the deal. Here is a picture of the kids with the bigger of the four fish. It measured 23" and I dropped the board back when it first hit. The fish were barely hooked they all came off when I got them in the boat.
  19. Let me know if you have any extra GLF stickers because I'm going to peel the MS ones off of my small boat. I like the logo and the people on this site. Tom
  20. No Frank, we had them in the holders almost parallel to the water. I've been told some guys run the rod tips almost in the water when they fish like that. That's the first time I've run rods like that and it won't be the last though. Tom
  21. It was rougher than I thought it would be but still not bad. We got the launch at 6:30 am and there weren't any trailer in the lot and I thought what's going on here? I found out people don't come out till 8:30 to start fishing. The best method was 2 oz bottom bouncer blue and pink blade, and pink beads right behind the boat back 100 ft. We didn't put it on any board and it would get bit when it was inside a turn. We were trolling 1.2 -.9 GPS speed but the inside rod is slower I don't know if it was falling when the fish hit it or what, but thats what worked for us yesterday. I going to work on getting better pictures this year too. Tom
  22. Went to AuGres limited out, nothing big just good eaters. We fished 28-30 fow pink harness's was the hot color with bottom bouncers. Water temp was 56-58 and we fished from 2 miles north of the river mouth to right in front of the river. I heard some chatter on the radio that south of hotel was also a hot spot. Not the best pictures but you get the message.
