  1. I'm drooling with envy "shu" fishing water 35-45 down, i'd have to go 25 miles north for that. That is a pretty site watching that rod thump in the rod holder.Soon we'll be yelling the famous words "fish on", I can't wait either........
  2. Good job fellas, man are those browns pretty fish. And they taste great......
  3. Just wondering where everybodies best depth was for walleye. Mine was in the 23 to 27 fow. Our best set up was Big Jon mini disc with a varied length leader usually it was 4 to 6 ft depends on the clarity of water, and our hottest spoons were Silver Streak greasy chicken wing, wonderbread, and the hot lobster. Were by far the only spoons that repeated success for several trips, we atleast averaged 12 to 14 fish each trip.
  4. Congrats minnow on the fish sounds like you had some fun, and got the cob webs out of your rig after winter. Wont be long and we will be fishing in t-shirts or no shirts.......
  5. Went to the river this weekend, to find some steelhead, and that we didwe ended up with 7 fish boated and 3 turned loose and lost 2 not a bad day of fishing.Method of fishing, we drifted spawn and wax worms all fish came on waxies, not a 1 on spawn. Looks like next weekend will be my last trip, the river looks like I-75 Saturday.Get the big boat out and chase some walleye's.
  6. Well for me its like the first few fish i get all excited but after that i just usually yell "fish", but i'm usually driving, now my brother in the back at 6'2 235lbs stay out of his way he'll take ya down. But i still get excited when a rod goes off especially when its still dark out when the spreader lights are on.

  17. Usually our main port is Ludington, and a little bit out of Frankfort, Manistee. Between the 3 we usually do decent.
  18. Well here she is this pic is with the old riggers and since then i put 4 Big Jon's captain packs, Big Jon quad rod holders, Trax-Tec rigger board and 4 12 inch tracks for my dipsey rods, and a set of stainless steel triple rod bird trees, for electronics she has a Garmin 192c plotter matched with a Garmin fish finder, and a Moor Sub Troll 900. So this year we can run a total of 16 rods this year. With all them lures out there something should make a mistake...
  19. We make all of ours too, and yes it is ALOT CHEAPER to make your own its pretty simple to do.... Do you make different lengths we have some that are close to 4ft and do good with them, and if they dont tear them apart and shorten them up....
  20. We made it out Saturday morning on my new rig on the Saginaw Bay should have made the jump years ago, but we all know what i'm talking about [marriage, kids] But we did manage to get 9 real nice pre spawn walleye's in the 4 hrs we were out a few other boats were also doing good. But all in all it was great got to take the new boat out sure is a big difference going from 22ft aluminum to 27ft glass..........If anybody is interested my other boat is for sale, it has to go.......
  21. Muskybob i use the Big Jon band buster's so mine are just above the ball, i use 12# pancake on all 4 of my riggers, and i really can load the rod depending on what size rubber band i'm using... That's just my $.02
