  4. Something I found out. Lowrance has discontinued the LCX-111C and the LCX-110. They are coming out with the LCX-113C and LCX-112 to replace these models. This is why the price is so low on this model If someone was to buy one of these units, and something would happen to it beyond repair would Lowrance give you something of equal value ?? I would be hesitant to buy something that is discontinued...IMHO...
  5. I agree too....The toughest boat by far for bumpy days on the lake..
  6. Thanks guys.. Forgot to mention that the top fish is a brown, on my scale it was 16lbs on my scale and we weighed it at a certified scale 6 hrs later it weighed 17.2 so i guess mine is off .. I took it to the taxidermist for my brother..I would say that's a big brown for the east side..
  7. Here's a few from yesterday from the Ausable River, sorry about the blurred pic my camera phone stinks but you get the idea....
  8. Dont think you'll have a problem with the ice blowing out, it takes quite a bit of wind to blow out shore ice.....
  9. We usually fish the AuSable and the Rifle and a few times at the East Branch of the AuGres... We dont do much lure fishing, we chuck spawn and wax worms, and do real good on both..
  10. I fish the Saginaw Bay about 3 to 4 days a week when we have ice, and do rather well on walleye and perch. But last yr we had a mixed bag of fish including a few lakers and whitefish and a ugly burbot.. Good luck Jwheeler, and be careful out there...
  11. Just curious where everybody has been , i know this is a fishing site, but just because we cant fish the big water dont mean the site has to go dormant..... What does everyone do when not on the big water, i know the usual work family etc etc...
  12. I cure mine with sugar and salt and orange jello.. Start out with 1 gallon of river water or clean ditch water (if you can find it) and pour in 1 cup of uniodized salt and a 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 box of orange jello, stir till all ingredients are dissolved and put your eggs in and soak them for 8 to 12 hrs stirring about every other hour, drain and rince with river ,ditch, lake water let dry and put them in a good sealed container.. Thats it ...Hope this helps...
