  1. Fished the wmfl this morning and had our worst morning trip of the year. Started in 125 on a west, took a 5lb king in 155 on a low diver back 125 with spinny and meat, lots of bait in that area so worked it for a while then out to 180. Turned back and worked the 150's again with lots of bait around, then in to 125, hit a double on low and high diver on same side, lost one cought one, 5 lb king. Both meat rig and 10" spinnys. Took one more rip on high diver back 175. Then finally hit a nicer king on a low way back flirting with bottom. 14lbs. 3-5 overall. Tons of bait around just not many fish with it for us.
  2. You may want to update it on Michigan Sportsman, list still is small there and there is another one to add, if people see more boats they might wanna come.I would just do it for ya but ill let you so i dont screw anything up. Forcast is deffinettly looking better hopefully fishing pics up a bit
  3. Sparky31 is in again, dont think i could do sunday though.
  4. 6-9 today nothing in pattern pick away at them from 150-225, on eBIG king weighed at 17 or just shy hard to tell in the chop, my biggest of the year. One other king and rest were steel. Where are the big steelhead, all 2-3 lbs from what i have seen out of the 25 or so i have cought maybe 2 were over 5lbs. Meat took the big king 90 back on a low, and broke off the same rig on another big one, showtime with uv gasoline i think.
  5. Went 3-4, Set up in 150 a few miles north, and took it out to 200, turned southeast, and hit a double, landed king on a high diver, 175 back wih meat rig, lost a steelhead on 7 color with a spoon i made, gold back white crush one edge orange on the other. Turned after a while and went back through there and hit another king on the 7 color. Wind started blowing hard so had to point the little 14ft. back east at that point or I think we would have done pretty well. Picked up a small king on a 6 color around 150. Most guys seemed to be in the 30-150 range or inside of 100, didnt hear or talk to anyone with more than 3 fish, and alot of 0 and 1s. Lake went from flat to 2-3s very quick, got a bit sporty for the little boat for a few minutes. Wish i could have stayed deep and picked away at the school we were on.
  6. Wen have caught them in 40deg. water, and 70deg. water, they are where they are. You never know, how muchdid that one weigh, isnt it on a boga? Loos around 12 13lbs? Either way good job, its tuff down there this year.
  7. Started in 80 went out to 110, and back into 70, nothing much going, cought and lost a trout on a meat rig, finally pulled lines and ran out to 160 ended up 9-12,13? All small fish though, Mix veggies and yager bomb took almost everything in the top 40. 4 kings, 3 steelhead, 1 coho, 1 trout, just couldnt buy a big bight, but beautifull day out there.
  8. They were north but not that far north, they didnt go as far we did the 2nd day, The first day they were a few miles north of us but i could see them. Jimmy is a hell of a fisherman.
  9. It was a slowish tourny for sure, you just fished straight out? The fish were deffinettly working north, friday my buddy on pro side had 27 fish North of SH (they finished 4th i think fri), Saturday those fish were in saugy which is where we were planning on headed but pulled up short since they were on fire half way on friday...mistake, Sunday they were gone period very spread out. Funny you guys did good on meat, we cought fish on every rod all weekend, EXCEPT divers, 1 diver bight in 2 days, and that was when i put it in the dirt for a our last trout. The trout were thick to the north i will say that, 65-75ft. was loaded Still washed the stink out of a bunch of herring hoping for a big bight, never happened. Let me know if your fishing any more tourny's on this side, maybe we can help each other out a bit. Good luck on the net one
  10. Nice job Gene. Wasnt a single 16 cought all weekend down here
  11. i put a report on here, we took 5th, reports is down below
  12. Well had okish fishing the last 2 days, started yesterday about 5 miles south of saug. 65ft. Nothing was hot, best depth was 75, ended with 3 kings, 2 10's 1 shaker, 2 steelhead one sub legal. and 3 lakers. Best set-up was a 6 color with mamoosa pro king. Nothing else went more than once. Ended the day in 6th place on the amateur side. 112points 42lbs Day 2, started farther north few miles north of saug. started quick 10 lb king, and lost another around the same then got a 4ish lb king late in the day on 300 copper, mag moonshine...name? Green one side chrome on other big glow eye. Nothing else was hot, all deeper fish today though, 13 color, full core, riggers got a few from bottum up to 35ish. Had a big greaser 14.75lbs moonshine mag happy meal. ended up just picking them up here and there, ended with 6 trout 3 kings 1coho. Made the looong run back in the 1775 tracker, got a bit ruff for a while. Ended up almost identicle weighed 7 again, for 110pt. 40lbs ended up in 5th on amateur side. around 3.0 was best speed going north 2.5 2.7 south. Yesterday everything was south troll today everything north. NOOO pattern to anything, lakers were thick from 60-75ft. silver fish were 75-90ft for us. O our kings looked healthy id say, but not sure where all these 16 17 18 lb kings ive been hearing about are? Big fish for tourny was like 15.77lbs out of 79 boats in 2 days, big trout 16 2 big trout was ours. Virtually no steelhead cought
  13. a buddy made it work so we are good to go now to find some fish tommorow.
  14. Everyone is out of town or working this weekend or already fishing the tourny. Cant believe noone from here wants to fish it.
  15. Had a few guys back out back to back for the south haven tourny this weekend, need a 3rd to fish, splitting cost's between the 3 of us, let me know if your interested, sat. sun.
  16. Couldnt keep the trout away, from 30-70ft. Best water was 45-55, 22 or 23 landed lost a few, 1 steelhead the rest were lakers, most were big. We weighed the biggest bag 50.somthing at the wmfl tourny but that counts for nothing, 20 lbs won it. Have to be lucky to find a silver one right now. We took fish on everything pretty much except high lines , 6 color, 7 color, 225 copper, riggers took fish from 12 ft down to the bottum, dpiseys, set on 3 50 and 80 back both took a bunch of fish as well. Fun day lots of doubles a triple and even a 4 banger. Played with spped and took fish from 1.8 to 3.2.
  17. Nice brown, beautiful fish for sure. You said you were in 15ft. and running a 150 copper? or did i read that wrong.
  18. Slow for us, and everyone we talked to. 0-2, beach out to 20ft south went to mona and brought it back to the piers and called it, so short trip.
  19. Good Luck , but check that forcast not very lake friendly for saturday. Time for bow hunting anyway, might make a few more trips we shall see.
  20. Took the little boat out for a few hours, best trip of the year. ended with ....alot, couldnt get lines pulled quick enough and couldnt keep the steelhead off, ended like 15 for 20 4 kings, 1 hoho rest steelhead, Everything worked, 180-200ft. Had 4 on at once 2 times, hard going in a tiller boat with 2 guys, pulling steel along side and releasing without putting in the net.
  21. Went 7-8 this morning, best water was 50-60, All kings, only 2 mature fish and they were small 8ish lbs, all others were 2-6lbs. 3 on white paddle and fly 40 down on rigger, 1 green splatter plug on a 6 color, 1 on a glow green eye spoon 50 down on rigger, and 2 on divers and meat, 1 low set at 70, and 1 high set at 120.
  22. It is accurate, although it was very up and down before we lost out probe, big brake for the most part was 90ish down, but the was some low 50's down 70 in spots. SE troll and nw troll were by far are best
  23. Had a good morning, although we ran out of fish quick, ended 9-9 2 cohos, and 7 kings all from 14-18.6lbs, weighed the big one, all 90-115 i believe, and way down deep, meat took 3, big white paddle white fly 1, spoons took the rest, 225 copper was good, rigger down 100 took 3 or 4. Had everything in before 9 a.m, ended up going out to 150 and back in to 60 where we set up, lost our fish hawk probe, wire randomly broke:mad: broke cell phone screen while in pocket:mad: But had an awsome trip:grin:
