  1. guys i think he understands and has the speed thing down he is catching fish and only trying what he describes above when the fish shut off. wich i give credit for i think most would say ok the morning bite shut off the fish are getting into a negative mood lets SLOW down. good for trying something different. i think longer leads on the paddles would be better for going that fast. i am not sure how fast the regular size warrior spoons will troll but i know the flutter spoons they make will approach that speed range maybe look at prokings also.

  2. sounds like a boating can of worms and not the kind to catch fish with ! forget the local shadetree guy and go to an experienced factory certified guy-maybe one who has even heard of and dealt with this problem. motors now days could be anything it might think you are shifting when you go to that low of rpm shift cut out wire-just one of many, many things. you dont say if it ever stalls when you are docking or shifting from forward to neutral or reverse etc. but bottom line go pay the man - the one with all the factory school papers on the wall. let us know what it ends up !

  3. No, I'm not set up with paypal.

need your zip code to figure shipping

ok i will regretfully pass i wanted to use the last money i have in paypal to much hassle to take it out by check-would rather buy tackle:grin: thank you any way all sounds like decent prices you wont have a problem selling and just so you know this winter i bought a reel and it was 6$ ship priority mail from mn and a couple rods were like $7 good luck!

  4. I think some of the best smoked fish is Lakers. Why? Because the natural oils in the meat and skin, keep the meat more moist and succulent to the taste bud. Just my opinion. Many would also agree with chubs and whitefish in this regard, very tasty, and good for us.

I AGREE 100% in gt bay they are eating hardly nothing but gobies and they are not like that anymore-not near as good as before.

  5. you can fish either div. most tournaments will say the charters fish the pro division and anybody that wants to can also. the pro has higher payouts and higher entry fee. in some tournaments the pro division has observers so if you want to fish pro you may need a member of your team willing to not fish and go ride around on someone elses boat. the only thing this does for your team is that member may learn some stuff. sometimes the tournaments will have a few observers lined up but you cant count on it. good luck!

  6. hockey- as i said in my first post you need to compare the same cannon model to a big jon equal model and vice versus. a lot of riggers will be faster than the standard captain pack big jon and some over the pro pak. the brutes are real fast but hefty price. one poster talked about the screech think this problem is long gone. for me it will always be bigjon over any brand that does not have the tip up arm (some other brands have it ,i dont think cannon does). for me i have got so used to setting lines with the tip up arm i am lost without it. real easy to show new people how to set lines with the tilt up arm and lowereing it. vs. watching them pick up the ball and drop it with a non tilt arm. the tilt is also great for docking.

  7. Gmfishon..... are you the fish nazi, do you work with the cops?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app

no as stated i was just wondering. i have heard different things on how the charters do this. some say not allowed, some say if the limit fish was on and we hooked another that was not going to live..etc. thanks for asking please only constuctive replys that answer the question.

  8. if we are compareing all big jon vs cannons i am not sure the cannons are faster i have not used the cannons or any big jons other than my own for about 3 years. prior to that i used the bigjon brutes and they are super fast even with a 16 lb ball. I think the other poster was right chevy vs. ford unless you find that person who has used both and could piont out something not touched on, it will be everyone likes what they currently use.

  9. I like big jon for the tilt up arm though i fig. That people who are only use to swinging the weight in to a holder will like the rigger they use. For me big jon and any other rigger with a tilt up arm. Got to be what i am used to. Keeps things out of the way when docking also. In a crisis ie kings screaming around the transom pull the arm up instead of fumbling with a swivel base or worse not one!

  10. i think you want the biggest set to go deepest with it being closer to the boat and on like 1 or 1.5 then another smaller diver on 3 in the next holder toward the bow. only going from what i think i remember hearing i dont run 2 per side. i am sure you will get more info as folks see this.
